beta 10/17 bug: allies DOW me when I join their war

I'm playing as King of Bohemia and am allied with Byz. Byz vassalized Polotsk, Polotsk vassals are ticked and rebelling, Byz & Pol go to war and Byz asks me to join, I do, Byz & Pol DOW me... wtf is that? (note: if I say no then later DOW the renegade county they seem to be ok with that, could be due to autopause on alliance request?)

Adding to that, Allies can declare war to your vassals despite being allied with you, creating a situation in which you must choose entering into war with either the vassal or the ally.

Well, I presume this is what happened:

- You and Byz are allied
- Polotsk is Byz vassal, it's vassal counties go low on loyalty
- As the counts are low on loyalty, they start to ally each other
- County A, which is allied to county B, dows Polotsk
- Byz dows county A as normal, you get alliance call
- You honour alliance against county A, which calls ally county B
- County B is still vassal of Polotsk, so Polotsk dows you
- Polotsk is vassal of Byz, so Byz dows you

It's nasty stuff when it goes like that and therefore it's advisable to not honour ally calls against against rebelling vassals (or vassals of vassals) of your ally. Remember that you can dow freely as long as your ally is at war, so if it seems you should interfere, you can do so later.

Yes, on running the scenario through again this does appear to be the case (except Byz is pre-emptively striking the traitors so skip the county A dow Pol). However, there should be some system to keep your ally from DOW'ing you when you join their war. If there are going to be negative consequences for not joining them then joining them shouldn't lead to them attacking you. I wouldn't really mind too much if Polotsk & county B (in this particular scenario) DOW me since technically they aren't allied to me (and I could crush them like bugs) but my ally (who can crush me like a bug) shouldn't join his vassals when they attack me as a result of joining his war...
