I have found the 'phantom-county BUG' in the 28/4 beta-patch, because my last savegame has the black shield without name on top of the county list, and CTD when loading.

I have seen that Third Angel made a post with instruction, but aren't user-friendly.

I am asking for step-by-step detailed instructions on what, where and how make changes and deletes.

This bug solution is on the Paradox ToDoList before 1.05 release?

Yes, I have RARed the bugged savegame, but I can't post you it before next monday.

Are you also interested at the previous ok-savegame (1 game-year before)?
The bug isn't replayable, because I restart from this ok-save but don't have the bug one year later ...

Instructions (easy)
-)Download all parts (4) of each savegame in the same folder
-)Execute the Create_X_exe for each savegame to regenerate the full RAR file

I had it myself with april 28th.

Sorry I wasn't clear.

_ Open your save file with some text editor, the file is divided in several sections ("picking list", wars and battles, provinces, marriages and alliances, characters, titles and countries)
_ in the "picking list", delete the whole U019 entry after checking which title was stolen : title = { CXXX }.
_ in the characters section, find every character with tag = U019, and replace it by tag = CXXX.
_ in the countries section, delete the whole U019 entry.
_ in the countries section, in the CXXX entry, add XXX to the controlled provinces.

As soon as is possible, I will try to recover the bugged savegame uplinked for testing purpose.

It is the #1 item on the list. Unfortunately, it's an elusive little bug that's proving to be incredibly hard to track down.
 
I just had the U019 bug with december patch. I'm bumping this so that people can easily fix their savegame (see post #6), and to ask this: is this bug is still known to be around or did I make some mistake when downloading the patch?
