I'm having a lot of difficulty getting the beta patches to work, and I'm not sure why. I have the latest version of WinRar, and Windows XP and I'm using a stable version of Firefox. The main problem I have is every one of the beta-upgrade rar files appears to be corrupted and wont load properly, the program complains of an unexpected end to the archive.

Things got even more ridiculous when my school decided to block some of the links to the beta file downloads complaining of a "JS.Sirun" Virus. I don't know what's going on but at this point I can't properly unpack or run any of the new 2.0/2.1 patches. I haven't seen any posts to this effect so I can only assume either this is a new problem or I'm the only one afflicted with it. Let me know what's going on as soon as possible, thanks.

Do you need help? I may re-upload the patches to my website.

Try these links:

I tried to install it and got this...

I'm sure this is something with Vista being a pain in the arse as usual, does anyone know what I ought to do?

That is a Vista-issue, you have installed the game in C:\program files

Look here in how to fix it

I have no problem at all installing the beta-patches on my machine (Vista+Internet Explorer), so my guess is that it has something to do with Firefox.

I went ahead and Defragmented my hard drive, as it needed it anyway and that had no effect, my virus scanner has found no problems on my PC. Yet each time I attempt to use the patch I get the same issue, either the contents are corrupted, or (in any case) it says "Unexpected end of Archive." I can't be sure what's gone wrong here, my install of Windows is relatively new as well. Thanks for posting those links as well.

As an aside, the June 13th patch that I downloaded from the new link has the same problems, I can't install the EXE as it's "corrupt" and there is an unexpected end-of-file problem, I'm going to try IE and see if I get a better result on the download.

Problem Solved: For some reason my web-browers were only downloading part of the RAR file. Compare the size of the DV Patch file downloaded from IE (4.15MB) to the size of the file downloaded with a shareware download manager (4.23MB). The latter file is not corrupt and does not have any errors. It seems for whatever reason, with these compressed archives, I simply wasn't getting the whole file each time, why? who can say. Anyway thanks for the help/links too.
