We need better trains and trams in game.

Let's start with trains-

Keep in mind, this is referring to trains, not metros:, unless otherwise specified

Underground train stations- there is a mod for this, but it doesn't work as intended. Unlike metros you don't need more than one type of underground train station

Double stacked container trains- Can move more freight than a regular container train. In real life, double stacked container trains don't work with overhead wires because they're too tall, but for the sake of the game we can ignore this and allow double stacked trains to operate on regular rail lines. There's no need to over-engineer the game for a negligible piece of realism.

More double decker trains- Thanks to vehicles of the world, there is a double decker train. But why only one? In some cities, such as Sydney, Toronto ot Dallas-Fort Worth, double decker trains are the backbone of the (non-metro) network, whilst in other cities, such as Athens, Brisbane or London (non-metro) trains are single deck, so it's good to have a variety of choice for double decker and single decker trains

Cheaper interchanges- why is that I can build a 2 train, 2 monorail and 1 underground metro interchange for a fraction of the price that it costs to build a single above ground interchange for metro and trains? I mean, I know that the metro/train interchange has a road running through it- but come on!

Default names for train/metro/monorail/etc. Stations- naming things is hard after wile. Just like streets have, changeable default names, so too should train stations/metro stations/etc.

Better intercity rail- why does an intercity train only stop at one stop in your city, turn around and go back? After your city becomes a certain size, some intercity trains should be able to make multiple stops at multiple intercity stations along the route, as is the case in cities like Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. And whilst we're at it, why not more single decker, non-high speed trains, too?

HSR 2- There are two types of high speed train- a fully intergrated high speed train, which is just integrated into the nation's main rail network, and a seperate high speed rail line that runs on its own right of way. CS already allows for the former, but should also allow for the later. The later exists in countries like Japan, China and (with the completion of the HSR 2 line), the UK. You get to have one HSR 2 route in your city (that is, one line per direction)

Reversing lights on trains- when freight trains reverse, they have no lights. How does that make any sense? How is that a freight train needs lights when travelling forward but can operate in the dark when operating in reverse? In fact, it would probably be better for freight trains to have locomotives on either end. Similarly, there should be a double decker train where passengers can utilise the locomotive and has a locomotive on either end (just like the vanilla train, but double decker).

The option to add motorail to some intercity train stations

TRAMS:

Reversable trams- just how trains are reversable, trams should be too. Why waste track building extra pieces of track for the trams to turn around?

Proper light rail- the ability to build actual light rail stations which are different to your run-of-the-mill tram stop on the side of the road. This is a proper light rail station, similar to a train station, only smaller, cheaper and less fancy. These could be built either in the middle of multi-laned roads, or on tram only roads. There should be two types- side platform or island platform- and they should be able to be named. This can allow for tram lines fully seperated from the road, if the player so chooses. The same should also apply for BRT stops, which can only be built along bus lanes or bus only roads. There are mods for this stuff, but the game isn't designed for them, (thus artificially decreasing ridership), and the BRT stations stopped working with Plazas and Promenades. Unlike regular bus stops, BRTs stations should be intergratable with bus only expressways. UNLIKE regular tram stops and bus stops- light rail stops and BRT stops should have the option of including a commuter car park. For inspiration at dtandalone lines, look at the London Docklands Light Rail or Dallas Area Light Rail or the Brisbane Metro (BRT), except with the option of being fully intergratable with the rest of the tram/bus network. For suggestions on how to integrate, look at Melbourne's St. Kilda line (tram/LR) or Sydney's T-Way (bus/BRT)

Guide bus way- a type of bus only expressway, but uses a track to guide buses similar to Adelaide O-Bahn or other systems in parts of Europe. Only city buses can use this- not intercity buses- not emergency vehicles. This should be intergratable with the rest of the bus network, so most types of buses should be compatible with the technology. Can be intergrated with the regular bus network network or seperate, up to you

This should NOT however prevent you from building regular bus/tram stops on bus/tram only roads or along bus/tram lanes, like you can now, only giving the option to ALSO build BRT or LR stations
