Don's been trying to squish that one, put a new Quirks DLL in the discord for us to test before it goes into the update for 1.7

I wonder if they ever found a fix to the problem with not being able to travel to all the systems on the map? I'm still getting that one as well.

And the occasional Zombie mech, but I think that is a base game bug, correct?

Allright so, time to make btex3025CE work with 1.7..

Must think positive.. now the fun begins...

Update BT.. check make sure it works.. works good, mod time...
Get latest modtech (0.7.3)
Install bt3025exCE and CAB.. make sure it works.. arggg! Acceptions! No loads! FAILURE!
check modteck log, check nexus.. some sub mods may have been updatd!..

YES, changes to Nav Computer, Pilot Fatigue, Pilot Quirks and Galaxy at war. DL new versions off nexus plug em in.. load and run.. Yay! Those are fixed! Wait a monet how come BT_Extended_ quirks not loading.. check dig dig dig check... got me???. can I do without it.?. Whats it do? Adds some chassis quirks..according to the modtech log theres conflicts and internal acceptions blocking it.. No idea here how to clear it up. Remove it and move on. Run and check.. no further errors showing..

Allright now thats done add my other favorite sub mods!
SLDF DIvisions and weapon Diversity 3025.. trouble shoot that and make a small change to WD3025 so depends on Custom Ammo Categories and not weapon realizer. Add my Sandman man mod because it's MY sandman mod (I really need to update that a tad on the nexus.. learned some new things since I made it even though it's been less then a week!)

Go into the game core files and make a couple small changes...starting mechs (Yea My Sandman , I did mention that).. and for the campaign opens up the map and turns on Flashpoints once the Argo recovery mission is done... because I like complicating my game a bit now and again.

Finally add commander portrait loader and ronin pilot art and unit emblems from many recent sources because pretty counts..

Run check.. all is good, start a new campaign!

Time spent including downloading fresh files.. less then an hour but I've done this before!

The whole reason for posting is to make it clear that sometimes plugging in the mods you want is not always cut and dried especially after a change to the core game. You gotta be patiernt with your self and with the mod makers especially! These boys and girls are not omnipotent omnipresent gods of code so just be aware most of 'em are going to do the best they can, but its your computer and your install. You may have to ed-u-macte yer self (to put it in the vernacular) to get it all to work and play nice with each other. And once you start modding your installed mods it gets even more complicated!

Some of the mod makers are a tad caustic. (Our man of BTextentended3025 CE is NOT one of them.. just to be clear.. good man!) I'm sure they believe they have totally justifiable reasons..and I remind them that part of their secret agenda is looking to get HIRED in the industry. Making successful mods that work is a good way to do that, but watch what you do and say publicly because it's seen. Knee jerk react to some kid who doesn't understand whats going on as to why their modded install isn't working is a great way to shoot your potential future employment in the foot.. fatally. I've been an employer.. It's one of the things I look for in a potential hire is how they interact with others... Game studio's generally don't have the time or the desire to cater to prima donna's. 20 years ago they did, they didn't have much choice because real talent with mad skills was kinda far and few between. Not so much any more..but the myth persists.

And if your mod maker and you get all up in a lather of the last paragraph because your just utterly certain it directed at YOU.. Your right. It is. Do something about other then whine about how unfair it is and how un appreciated you are. Because out here in the adult world. No one really cares.. lots of talent out there. You want your name in the credits you do what you need to do. Apologies to all the rest of you by bringing this up. I am not stating it to pick on or belittle anyone. I like to see folk succeed! But if they're messing up.. well. Where else is it going to be said? Yea I could go private, 'cept for one thing. No interest in starting a dialog with folks with potential issues unless I'm getting PAID. And even thats a maybe..

ANyway, Happy modding.. 3025 extended ROCKS!

I can see where you are coming from. The key word is patience.
Whilst I do really want to get the ball rolling with the latest developer's build, I am prepared to wait for the good folk engaged on this mod to come up with something polished & robust.
:)

I go to Nexus every day, select browse all mods, then sort by latest updated to see what's been done.

Well I'm biting the bullet & updating.

I am going to try that Beta they just published on Discord.

:)

I'm going to be cautious and let you tell me how it works out. ;)

Honestly, I'm at the point that I just wait for the official version. I don't want to have to go through the whole reinstall sequence any more than necessary.

I think I'll wait for the 1.7.1 update to both game and mod

One of 2 down

Anyone know how the update is coming?
