How would this even be implemented? Not to chastise a request but given the context of the game engine how would you envision this being accomplished? I understand the desire to see historical use of assets and flavor however some things can't be implemented well given the limitations of the engine.

watch men move far to quickly walking down a road? I'll do without thank you. Wargame was silly enough watching #ELITERANGERSEALTEAM6OPERATORS sprint through woods.

Motorcycle, horse or bicycle troops would be actually quite difficult to model, for unlike other transported troops because their "transport" would not be a squad vehicle, but require them to have an individual one each.
Presently, if a transport is targeted, it can be destroyed or missed, but what with mounted troops having each their own mount?

Treat it like a fast moving infantry squad that can disembark another infantry squad?

I don't suppose there is anything so simple as "allowtransport = yes" in the unit config file...?

How would you model a squad of men on bikes in terms of road use? Think of how your vehicles bump and rub while path finding @ the start of the game - how would 10 or however many vehicles representative of a recon squad work? How does the unit know when to "unload" as this is now spread across multiple "vehicles". Simply put the game engine does not support anything that is passable for this. That MadMat has even come here to briefly mention the difficulty of such a thing speaks volumes for how unfeasible it is. Just put this one out of your mind - bicycles were an interesting note in the history of WWII but aren't likely to make it into a game like this.

Most games just have individual per soldier transports vanish on dismount. You guys do kinda need to solve this for a Soviet addition because horses were a big part of their combat ops.

Everyone knows only the Japanese had those :p . (#obvioushoi4reference)

Seriously, though, I wouldn't mind bicycles, but I'm not sure how to implement them engine-wise either. Unless you make them one-man squads, I guess.

You would reach your destination long after the merge but I suppose a sniper would still be useful ... I'd take a motorcycle transport over that though.
