A standard game seems to go a little like the following (sound familiar to anyone else?):

Load game (fine), Enter town (Load), click button to say I did indeed want to enter town (more loading), do what I wanted in town and exit (more loading), load in to battle, load back out of a battle, load in to another one and load back out again.

Get the idea? I seem to spend half my time waiting for the different screens to load, there is more loading than game. I have managed to stop the loading in to towns with patch and options changed, but this does nothing for combat and with the amount of times AI players and pirates want to attack I am spending a lot of time simply waiting for things to load up and then load back to strategic view again. There also seem to be a lot of annoying buttons requiring me to click them before it does what I asked, example on the load in to town screen I have to click continue before it actually does take me in to town, why?? I clicked enter town and I think that should be enough.

Don't get me wrong although I am only fairly new to EIC I am enjoying what I've done so far but I feel there is a real problem with the amount of time spent waiting on things to load and I dont understand why. Interface is nice looking but like I said there are a few buttons that seem useless/annoying.

**Edit: Oh one more thing I forgot, anyone able to tell me how to turn off the AutoSave feature? It never seems to work for me, it saves, but when I load up from autosave it is right back at start of game (50 years behind). ALso I just find the lengthy pause while it does the autosave annoying, I am in the habit of doing regular saves anyway and its annoying that I've done one and then seconds later autosave kicks in.
