since demos are out. is it theareticaly possible to make a "video" of CK being played, showing various menus and things about the game so that while having no demo, the game could still be seen and about the only next best thing to a demo, as at least a typical 5 mins of gameplay could be shown?

obvisuly not till the game is out or right about out, but if possible and people actualy think this is good..... wouldnt be a demo but would show a lot more then 2-3 screen shots would.

No screenshots until the beta...:(
Good thing I'm pacient....but not thatpacient

Oh no - I sense Hvard's Iron Fist coming down hard and soon!!! He's probably looking through the cabinet where he keeps the locks right at this very moment. Gotta hurry get this post in before I am locked out.:p :D

lock the thread?
dang it! i was just trying to be helpful:p :D

If we stick to the initial question and not drift into becoming another beta-thread I see no reason for locking...

I think the movie the Camel refers to was the Discovery comercial? Or was it the downloadable trailer?

Anyway I guess CK will follow in the path of EU and HoI with lots of screenies released up until release, combined with the beta AARs.

1 very though-out thorough AAR with a decent amount (say 15-25) screen shots, would be of high value. while screenshots and AARs are nice if a very effective combo of one were put together with many screenies and things explained about them would be worth its weight in printing paper:D

if such a good AAR were released close to game release or a semi series of such down over a period of time it would go a long way to replacing not having a demo.

a picture may be worth a thousand words but if the picture isnt explained those 1000 words might as well be martian:p :D

I think the movie you are refering to was from gamespot.

The movie is fine but my personal experience is that I got sucked into the whole genre of Paradox games after reading the first AAR posted on the site - you know the English one.

I think a good AAR during beta testing (especially with screen shots) to a least show the territories being discussed in the AAR would be the best marketing tool.

But I suppose you need the gamespot movie to get people to the forums to read the AARs in the first place.

The AARs sure got me interested - well, more interested. I was already hungry for an historic strategy game and that AAR sent me over the edge.:)

I agree 100% !

At this point anything for CK would be welcomed by me, hell a screenshot here or there is enough of a bone.

Yes, there is...:(

A screenie would be nice. :)

Isn't there one for Victoria out already?

There is a CK screenie out already, but not a really nice one :p

Before viewing though, one must drink 6 shots of saki one right after another, spin in a circle (blindfolded) 4 times, then stand on your head and squint. :D
