I have been able to play Prison Architect before on my current PC but since the latest DLC it refuses to boot up.
I only get a black screen for a couple of second that later leads to a closure of the game.

Please attach here the game log C:\Users\<UserName>\AppData\Local\Introversion\Prison Architect\debug.txt
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

AND DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

That debug log shows an old game version. If you delete that log file and try the game again, does it make a new one?

Either way those, there are some crashes in nVidia software in that dxdiag so let's try to fix that:

- uninstall the nVidia driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install April 2022 https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
- reboot again

Is that any better?

I recived a new debug.txt but nothing changed after reinstalling the drivers

I still get a black screen and then CTD

No solid clues in there I'm afraid. Please try this:

- uninstall PA from Steam
- unsubscribe from all mods in this game's Steam Workshop

Delete the following folders if still present:

- Steam/SteamApps/common/PA
- C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Local/Introversion/Prison Architect/
(keep any valued save games, of course)
To see the AppData folder you'll need to enable View Hidden Items in File Explorer.

Now install PA again and see how that goes please!

That helped thank you!
