BLC Not Working

I have all the portrait packs prior to RoI, and before my game updated to 2.1.1 LI and the BLC worked great. The game auto-updated, I opted into the "beta" to plplay my mods, and started up LI and the BLC. Now I'm getting black portraits like I don't have the portrait DLCs. Shouldn't the BLC work fine? Do I need the new DLCs despite the fact that they aren't at all used by the mod?

My guess is the "beta" 2.04 isn't recognizing that you have the DLCs. Try going into the store from the start screen and see if that clears it up.

more accurately, if you're using steam, you need to FIRST play the game using the steam launcher itself for the game to "reset" its DLC signature after any update (whether going up to RoI, or rolling down to one of the beta branches). then, once that's done, you can resume as usual

Sorry, but i am not used to this abreviations.

What are the needed DLC`s for this mod to work? I could not guess what LI and BLC means, and cant find dlcs with these leters on them.


I downloaded the mod and placed it on the correct folder, but during launch it crashes to desktop.

LI is Lux Invicta (this mod), BLC is Better Looking Characters, an optional module that was originally created by the same person who created this mod (Shaytana)

The current release of LI requires all expansions if you want to use the features of them (SoI (Sword of Islam) to play a muslim, LoR (Legacy of Rome) to use retinues and get some flavor events, TOG (The Old Gods) and SoA (Sons of Abraham) to... um, not really sure what features were locked on them, I wasn't playing when they came out.

BLC, if enabled, requires most if not all of the face pack DLCs. These just add visual flavor.

Ah got it thanks for the explanation, i was under the impression BLC standed for a official DLC and not another mod, its clear now. thanks.
