Luck, and the strategy doesn't really work for DV or newer patches anymore, I think. At least I failed myself when trying myself the last few times.Iche_Bins said:Now, please tell me. How is it possible to win this without countless reloads? Either you are crushed by far far superior forces or germany concludes a peace and leaves you with nothing. Any tricks?

Oh well, if there's any wish, I'll make a new DV guide as Apulia/Sicily.

Nice AAR, really gives some insight into the game.
I tryed the same silesian strategy, but failed utterly ... 7 time in a row.
in 6 times the following happend.
I moved my Army of 4400 Soldiers to silesia, destroyed the defenders, got attacked once or twice by smaller armies like 1000 men or so ... and got attacked by a much larger army of 6000 men who wioped the flor with my men.
One times of theses, I retreated, and attacked upper selesia, got attacked, but I got help by the germans, and won the battle in the end .. unfortunatly everyone of my soldiers was dead.
The 7th attemp (which was actually the 3rd chronological) I beat the silesian army, conquered lower silesia, advanced to upper Silesia ... and germany makes a whit peace, so I got nothing.
Now, please tell me. How is it possible to win this without countless reloads? Either you are crushed by far far superior forces or germany concludes a peace and leaves you with nothing. Any tricks?
CSK said:Yes, it is. And I doubt that will change anytime soon, since it's a basic mechanic of the game.
