Lo my suggestion is that the border of the seazone southern Baltic sea should be changed from Lund-Stralsund to either Gönge-Stralsund or Gönge-Bornholm-Stralsund

The reason for this is that it's the narrowest part of that sea thus the best cut of point now that the old skåne province has been split into Lund and Gönge. The Bornholm one is less obvious, it looks kind of with the curved border, but on the other hand it gives bornholm a strategic importance as a jumping piing between öresund and the southern baltic sea.

Another possibility is to extend the western baltic sea south to bornholm gönge, making bornholm situated on a north south divide. But islands in the middle of seazones end up being very insignificant

Well those are my thoughts on the borders of the southern baltic sea seazone.

Work fine for me. Perhaps a different browser?

... I've had this problem before seems google picture does't work for some people. Any idea for other pages to upload to?

There's also the option of just taking them from your desktop / computer.
true might be the easiest

So in this one the yellow is one option, the red in another. they are both meant to replace the one right next to them.

and in this one is a third option, the blue marked line is meant to erase the old seazone border. Though technically a fourth option is making that a small seazone, called the Bight of Hanö in that case.

What I''m basically saying is islands should have an importance if they are provinces in the game, either they are things for colonial island hopping, or stepping stones for straits like the danish islands are, or they sit on intersections between seazones like gotland, but bornholm is none of these things, it's just a small shred of development that is annoying to occupy and serves no purpose at all.

Sea zones are "cheaper" to add in terms of performance, so why not add a bit of maneuvering to the High Seas. The Åbo Archipelago and Bothnia Bay should also be their own sea zones in the Baltic.

I can support that. I'd also really like to see another one in the gulf of finland because currently boats protecting trade in novgorod just stand sill in the same sea zone.

Well, there was a rather significant naval engagement there called the Battle of Vyborg Bay in 1790 that could be used to justify a sea zone there. It was one of the world's largest historical naval battles(a combined force of nearly 500 ships) and also quite influential, as it introduced the naval battle concept of "firepower over mobility".

It's also the site of St. Petersburg and the famous Kronstadt town and fort; the seat of the Russian admiralty and the base of the Russian Baltic Fleet.

For names I'd suggest either Neva Bay or Kronstadt Gulf.

You're thinking about the battle of Svensksund not the Battle of Viborg, battle of Viborg is the Gauntlet of Viborg, when the swedish navy had to escape being blockaded so they could get out to open water and later fight at svensksund.
Also while yes there were many ships at svensksund, almost 500 of them, most of them were rather light ships. If we count number of guns on each side or tonnage it becomes much more reasonable though still not a small engagement.

Indeed, the Gauntlet of Vyborg led to the Svensksund engagement and yes majority of ships were light clippers supporting the larger ships. Though I assume lack of correction/critique on the sea zone name is a sing of agreement on that part?

Never been to that part of the baltic so I really have no idea.
A lot of the boats were actually galleys, or even sloops, this battle is probably why galleys are in the game and have a combat bonus in inland sea.
Scale_model_of_the_Battle_of_Svensksund%2C_July_9%2C_1790_-_Marinmuseum%2C_Karlskrona%2C_Sweden_-_DSC08884.JPG

And I'm mostly just correcting because I worked a few year for the Swedish naval museum (where the model in the picture is from) and have held guided tours on this subject. It's nice when you get to use the things you know.

And there should be bonuses and maluses for some types of sea zones, for example the Venetians had a reason for wanting the Dalmatian coast because it had more islands and was better for sailing, and open seas weren't that prefered by sailors
