One thing that has annoyed me when playing with a friend is how bots never use their potions, this makes it a lot harder for people playing with bots,
also another thing is that when playing dungeon maestro mode the bots should change their class depending on who the player is playing,
so far i've always had to go as a mage because otherwise we have no good support with the bots.

just my experience with bots so far.

Play a mage, hold right mouse button on the dumbest bot, win!

no joke, I've farmed a good amt of gold by myself. Because finding a mach at the moment is dear god impossible, at least those competent enough.

Yes bots are generally worse than people mainly because they don't use potions. Also the mage bot doesn't Ray people that I've ever seen. Two big reasons why solo-DM mode VS bots is very easy to win.

I have not played DM mode with randoms yet, only with 3 other friends. But I have played adventure mode in any open game that lasts longer than 45 seconds. The biggest problem with getting into matches is staying in matches. Yes it's annoying when you click on a game, only to find out "Lobby Full" after thinking it was connection, or "Connection to host failed".

On the flip side, when people start with less than 3 humans, chances are the bot might do something stupid and get the group in a bad situation, so when the 3rd person joins, and the team is out of lives 15 feet off of the train and proceeds to wipe because when he joined someone was already downed with 0 lives to go. And then the host disbands the lobby and starts up a new game because the people he played with "weren't good" it's sort of frustrating. Some of the best games with randoms I've had have been waking into situations like that, taking the wipe, and starting again at full strength. People just need to stick with it a tiny bit more.

Hmmm, bots are definitely not the greatest. However I think its quite a big job to get them right as the game relies on reaction and thought. If it can be sorted so they use their skills and potions at the right time then fantastic, otherwise I think we will have to look at this as a multiplayer game and only use the bots as skill/target practice. The local coop is a sign that its for people to play together and a fantastic addition. Lets just hope the fill in bots and autopilot wont frustrate too much.
