Dear Paradox,
I just bought PS4 Deluxe Console edition and I have at the moment no possibility to download the just bought additional package as I found the tag "coming soon" on them...

Is it something I missed? or is it normal behaviour?

You understand I paid for those additional packages and I want to start my experience with those as well...
As I think my fellow collegues doing the same investment are expecting...

thank you for a prompt answer

Andrea

Hey,

It's possible there was some confusion so let me clarify quickly. The Deluxe Edition DLCs, are essentialy a Season Pass. They're not available *yet* but will be releasing soon, in a short succession for the owners of the Deluxe Edition.

You guys may want to look into updating the store page description for the Deluxe Edition. I'd done my research before buying it, but not everyone will. The store states: Stellaris: Console Edition Deluxe also includes the Plantoids Species Pack, Leviathans Story Pack, and the Utopia Expansion for the explorer ready to take on even more in their adventure.

Some may find that misleading a bit, I'm afraid.

Can We know if soon means in the next days or in the next moths?
I mean:
is it just a technical issue or the plan is to release them in the future somewhere not better clarified?

You understand this make the difference to us, as knowing that we need to wait weeks anyway, we could have honestly bought the basic version and waited for the releases, as we could be forced to do anyway...

thank you for your understanding and prompt answer Harlot.

In case of release will take weeks/months, is there the possibility to get reimboursment for the difference? what would be the PS4 procedure for paradox?

If it makes you feel better, it will almost assuredly be cheaper to just keep the Deluxe Edition, as the individual DLC will likely be sold for a bit higher prices altogether.

While we can't give you a specific date yet, when it comes to the initial content drop it's going to look a little like this:
1. The free Multiplayer patch is scheduled for a late spring release.
2. The three DLCs will be releasing very shortly after the launch and will release in succession (one after another).

Those two things together, constitute the first, a little vague window for updates, so it might be a few months in total, but the releases will be frequent in that time period. Mind you, I'm saying this with hope that there is understanding between us all that "shit happens" and office gnomes do exist and are assholes. :)

EDIT: I'm not sure what reimbursement you have in mind, but any stuff like that always needs to be inquired about with the retailer/store owner where you bought the game, through their appropriate channels.

Hello Harlot,

thank you.
I bought it online on play store (isn't it the only channel by the way for PS4?).
Anyway.
After getting this console edition for 59,99 € rather then basic one for 39,99 € I would still buy the game but at basic version as I feel a bit unconfortable with the feeling of being convinced by all desclaimers, that I would have started my adventure with those packages... (that's the reimboursement I have in mind)

(XavierHorovitz hit a point here...)

I'm also not a newbie and played on PC before therefore I also did my researches before buing it.

I see a wave coming here... Harlot... I'm working in software business too... you need a good communication strategy here to address it quickly and give answers to those poor people who are expecting this to happen from the day one and will be forced to wait "months"...

Having said that... I'm not going to make it bigger than what it is but... please warn the gnomes in your office to amend what is needed and address it with whom experienced this already, somewhere very soon to mithigate the issue...

Best Regards

Andrea

Unfortunately it does not... cause I would have had the possibility to chose and I would have left pantoids behind, so I would have saved money anyway...
(thanks for trying anyway)

I was afraid of this. Was so excited yesterday reading that the expansions are released on Day One, and now my fears have come true. They are not out yet? That is so misleading. I HATE this kind of business tactics. I know the developers didn't choose this, so Paradox has to take the blame for this. I can't support this. If I have to wait, then Paradox will have to wait to get my money.

Please someone tell me if I am wrong. Also if I am correct and it's just the basic game out, please let me know. If I am going to buy the game, I will just get the basic version or just wait till Utopia comes out or not at all, depending how I feel at the time. I am sicken right now at the misleading description on the Xbox Store. (not sure if the same on PS4 or not).

you are correct... only basic game now version 1.7... no meaning to spend additional 20€.. you can maybe buy DLC later.. if you want... don't do my mistake... yesterday I wrote this post exactly to clarify this for those other people who love the game as I do... but does not want to deal with those false expectations feelings as I did...

having said that I had so much fun plaing this yesterday that I still suggest to buy it soon... but just basic version..

Regards

But don’t forget that you pay 20€ for around 30€ value with the deluxe. So if you intend to buy those DLCs once they arrive, it would be a much better decision to go with the deluxe version. If you later decide to only buy two of the dlc you still would have gotten all three for the same price with the deluxe. So deluxe is the better option as long as you don’t ant to only get one of those three

It's clear,
I think the all point is that it would be worth o me if I could have had them now as misleadingly announced.

Anyway... again as menioned... I'm already having fun with my empire and this is what matter...

thanks
