Briefly, the Angevins

Part I

john1.jpg

When he died of pneumonia, murderous Prince John lost all of his land to his idiot brother Richard because his idiot heir Raymond got killed fighting some Irish dickhead.

Mmm, inspiring...

Is there more?:D

YAY!!!!!!!!!!! A new phargle AAR! Now we have Angevins to laugh at! I was a fan of Knud Knytling, as well as Solomon of Itil, and am glad to see your new AAR! The comedy gods of AARland hath been appeased.

Howdy! This is the story of the Angevins, in brief. I started as John, but he died, and now I'm Richard.

Deamon, thanks, but I promise nothing!

Hannibal X, there's no guarantee that this will be amusing. All I promise is that it will be the Angevins. In brief. Thanks for the hearty welcome, though!

Murmurandus, yes!

Draztikus, your comment is about as funny as this AAR will get, I bet!

And now, on to Chapter 2!

Part II

After Prince John died, King Richard became the most hated man in England.

Liking the idea here :)

To be honest, I was considering doing something similar if I ever get EU:Rome (playing as the Spartans, just presenting screenshots w/ one- or two-word captions; "laconic wit" after all ;) ), but it looks like you've beaten me to it.

Oh dear, my comment is already longer than both updates combined :p I'd better cut it short before I outwrite the entire AAR, so I'll simply close with: Keep up the good work! :)

Serves exactly my short attention span this... Oh, look, a bird...

*runs off*

Well, Richard didn't last long. These Angevins seem to be allergic to horrible sucking chest wounds.

KingJH, yes, yes, I suppose it is rather short. Thanks for pointing that out. My self-esteem is shot. :(

Mr. Capiatlist, I don't know that this is minimalism at its finest. . . it might be minimalism at its most atrocious.

Specialist290, your comment is lovely. It's okay to be long. See, KingJH? This is how you're not a jerk to people about length. I suppose I could add more to the story too, but I am not sure how interesting it is to know that Prince John married the heiress of Jerusalem, and so did his nephew after he died. That's right - King Stephen is hitting that.

Beamed, read comment, nodded sagely.

Llywelyn, sick!

Murmurandus, you know what they say - if you can't keep Murmurandus's attention, it's not an AAR worth writing. I'm not sure if they actually say that.

And now for Chapter 3! Actually, I guess these are Parts, not Chapters. And now for Part 3!

Part III

King Richard died of a horrible sucking chest wound sometime after he went to live in France, but at least he reconquered a bit of Aquitaine first.

Ever the innovator, ey.

I'm on, I assume you expected as much. ;)

Morsky, roger. Thanks. Will do.

Snugglie, welcome aboard! I expect nothing and accept everything. Or is that the other way around? Either way, I'm glad to bump into you again.

Specialist290, yep. I think the Angevins are allergic.

Tskb18, sparse.

King Stephen was popular with everyone but his cousin Soimor, who tried to take the throne twice.

If he tried to take it twice, it just means he wasn't properly deloused the first time around.
