After quite a lot of work (and luck!) in Ironman, I managed to have my genius ruler of Gotland, King Thorfinn the Wicked, sitting atop a fully upgraded tribal settlement and a treasure pile large enough to block out a reasonable portion of the sun. Then, two years later, my game crashed. When I loaded it, it continued to run for approximately 3 weeks, before crashing again. This continues to this very day, and I am extremely miffed to lose what was looking to be a particularly promising dynasty in a rather interesting world (Half of Europe is Fraticelli, revolutions everywhere, Byzantines holding back Abbasid blob #4298, etc)

If there's any way to repair the viability of the save file, I'd love love LOVE to hear suggestions - if necessary, I can attach it, though as it's an Ironman save, I am not sure how useful it will be to you.

You might want to repost this thread in the tech support subforum. There's a much higher density of folks who know their way around files and code there. :)

I'll move it, and I think I already know what it is and that bug has already been fixed and will come in the next patch. Just hang tight!

Really this should have been moved to Bug Reports, as I'm sure Groogy is referring to the Norse unit pack crash. Is that right, you do not have that DLC? if so this is known bug (no Norse unit pack active but Norse troops on the map) and we're all waiting for an update to fix it.
