Anybody think there's a chance that the Bronze Age mod comes back to it's rightful place? *Crossing fingers*

Maybe years later, so I'm not expecting it to happen in the short term. That mod was a perfect suit for Imperator, I found that really weird when they decided to move onto the CK3. The game wasn't popular yes but they could be more patient. I was looking forward to playing the mod in Imperator but even if I buy CK3 I'm not sure if I'd play that mod on CK3.

No, going back will never happen, sry if people are disappointed. I still believe that CK3 is the best game for the mod and its setting. This is partially because of a difference in the perception of the era and potential with mechanics in CK3. I find that a character driven game dealing with different peoples, their cultures, religions and societies is gonna be more interesting representation of the era than one focused on empire building. CK3 is also a newer game with obviously many more years of support ahead with whatever awesome new stuff they add in the long-term. In that sense I agree with Dried_Dry's point. In the end it is obviously subjective and dependent on different preferences. I have given permission for others to continue the mod on IR and my limited and very basic "conditions" should be available somewhere. (It is basically just that you inform that it is a new project from the original one not connected to this mod team and with appropriate credits given to all original contributors). I can dig it up if anyone wants to know. But while I will never port the mod back to IR and there is no point asking me to do it, if you want it to happen you can/should ask or form a team etc. Especially as the amount of interest for it is essential for ppl to take the large amount of time to do it!
Which, I mean yeah it's a real shame because the Bronze Age for Imperator was a fantastic mod, the themes fit the mechanics well imo. The Bronze Age for CK3 is... decidedly less fantastic in my personal opinion. The idea that one can have a Bronze Age era game without a single spot of trade mechanics is... very unfaithful to the period. I do not enjoy the CK3 version of Bronze Age at all. :/[7:38 PM] Svanley:
Also, at the time, moving the mod to CK3 was not an alternative to staying on IR. The last few patches before the mod moved and all that surrounded them burnt me out on it. Having to overhaul so much every patch was simply not sustainable (with lots of stuff just in the files that is not noticeable in game due to file structure changes). The amount of time that just had to be spent on keeping the mod up to date and functional with changing mechanics was rather ridiculous. Of course it is great that the game gets support and improvements, but it has the rather unexpected downside of adding a lot of work for modders. So there is no reason to be sad that the mod moved to CK3, even though it obviously might seem like it.
Just.. wow.I still believe that CK3 is the best game for the mod and its setting.
Maybe some new team will get permission to take over the bronze age mod and update it
Paradox devs wooed them over apparentlyMaybe years later, so I'm not expecting it to happen in the short term. I get that the guy has his own opinion but I can't imagine thinking that a bronze age period game should NOT be about empire building as he states, pretty much the defining factor of the near east bronze age (at least in terms of social organisation) was the formation of a succession of greater and greater empires resulting in the late bronze age period of relative peace and stability before the collapse
This is incorrect. Before CK3s release modders could apply to get early access to have a mod ready for release. Bronze Age applied and was successful. He wooed paradox, not the other way aroundParadox devs wooed them over apparently
Well that's even worse, sold out for early game access when both seemed incomplete at the timeThis is incorrect. Before CK3s release modders could apply to get early access to have a mod ready for release. Bronze Age applied and was successful. He wooed paradox, not the other way around
