Not to...2nd guess a players moves but had reis gone to caprica instead of breeders canyon they would have been eligible to be current player after they chose that crisis. They had no way to know to be totally fair but had they gone to caprica and then colonials failed that crisis as a result??

edit: Oh right his drawback. Slinky was there.

Yeah. He had to go to the Canyon. That was obvious to me even before he did it.
Really, this game demonstrates exactly why Leoben is at least a little balanced. If he had chosen Cavil this game might have ended completely differently ..

Just for fun here are the first 3 super crisis since we never got any involved.

Good thing we executed the both of them. Though doing that looked really very very chancy at the time, it worked out for us in several ways. EL made the right call there convincing me to do that.

I was hoping he would go hand stealing at a good time but it just never was quite there. And yeah cavil is strong with the only real drawback being a 7 person game with 2 other cylons as his hand discard can become VERY annoying. The DD rigging for leoben can be useful but generally not as much unless he is a sympathizer as then he can snag good cards sometimes as well as know what the DD is for the good.

Nice game and thanks for hosting jacob. I had a lot of fun.

I am sorry that you lost this game, slinky. Not that I cared enough to lose on purpose, mind, but still. (I doubt you'd appreciate that in any case ..)
You did the honourable thing here, and it cost you a win. You could have won this on your own. And it's not like you didn't play well ..

I made one big mistake where I picked the crisis with jump prep when I was convinced jump prep wouldn't get activated on my turn. I was a bit hurried that day and confused the manuals. I know I could have won, but this way I had a lot more fun and I hope you guys as well. It was a bit of a gamble, after all reis91 could have been sympathising with the humans and without the boarding parties it was a level playing field with the humans slightly ahead, but I wanted to get an interesting game and to have my side win, not just me. I hoped we got an endgame that was close and I wasn't dissappointed.

I am happier with this result than if I had activated the boarding parties. It would have felt like a hollow victory. Like I just filled in for gevax and got a lucky break. I wanted to actually influence the game and have an impact. Of course I would rather have seen that my impact would have led to a Cylon victory :p

Don't worry. The humans made their share of mistakes, too. Starting with using The Chief's once per game to disable PIL ..
The game would have looked a lot less close if that hand't happened.
(Though as far as mistakes go that one was fairly mild..)

That not that hard of an agenda, although i question what Reis was doing allowing Pegasus to survive. Blowing up Pegasus would have given him the four locations damaged with no risk of losing it. Then he just needs to hit Morale hard. Not to hard to do with the Pegasus exp. He should have pulled super crisises after Pegasus was gone and played any that forced Morale loss. Much more likely to get them in the Super Crisis deck and he can wait until we can't avoid losing the Morale from it without risking losing then right and there.

Honestly, I never quite got the chance. I thought I did once, but was not allowed to Sabotage when you got rid of the TRE. I tried hard to influence you to leave Pegasus to die, as it's not vital for a human win, but you had two people drawing repairs left and right.

Still, with that check to destroy 1 part of Galactica, and preventing the 2 pop from going to space, I'm almost certain we could have both won.

Also, that Supercrisis was sweet, too bad I judged it a waste of time.

We are allowed to run 2 games so long as they differ. If anyone wants to fire up a 5 person basic rules BSG game for now...??

I'm interested.

I'm not really sure I'm up for being a GM - not to mention my inbox can only hold 10 messages, which might be problematic. I could probably be convinced to try it if players gave me some patience.

I don't think BSG is as PM heavy as werewolf. Anyway, I think you only need a handful of posts to raise the PM limit. Go comments on AARs or something! :D

BSG isn't heavy on PM's, but it does help if you hang around near the forum a lot to respond to things as they happen. The GM basically has to do as much as all the players combined ..

And no, I'm not starting a game right now. With a newborn baby and two werewolf games going on doing that will likely cause Kaetje to be very unhappy with me, to say the least.

I guess none of the posts in this thread count? I was wondering why my count is still at 0.

No, posting in this subforum doesn't. If it did I'd be up to 10k+ posts by now ..

If I knew there was an exodus game coming I would gm another basic game.

I know the SA forums have an updated deckmanager somewhere, finding it is a bit of a chore though since it's hidden in a thread that I can access only intermittently. (Work blocks it, and when I access it from home I can sometimes acces it .. and then I can't because they want your money, or whatever ..)
(here: http://forums.s o m e thing aw ful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3252040&userid=50244)

That's the same version I got a while ago, and no Exodus yet, I'm afraid.

You're not looking closely enough. In later posts in that thread the players are talking about there being an updated deckmanager available.. they just haven't updated the first post :(

edit: Strange. That version of that thread has just 3 pages .. while this: http://forums.som ethin gawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3252040&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=72 has 70+..

There we go:

Pegasus XML for DeckManager updated with Exodus cards can be downloaded here.

Thanks to Cocks Cable for doing the actual work of updating the file.

There we go:

That good, now if you like, I will be willing to host a game of Exodus. I need to know what options people want to play with first however.
