BUG v1.6: in 6 days oil from +1855.190 to minus -1,780,634.500

I had funny experience as Gernmany on normal.

Germany_1943_September_23.eug to
Germany_1943_September_26.eug

the oil went down from oil from +1855.190 to -1,780,634.500, which is clearly a bug.

I can email the files.

cheers
todorp

PS

As a test I gave myself 99,999 of everything in the eug file and again in couple of days the oil become - milions.

Slightly different in my game. in 2 days oil from ca. 80000 down to - 65000.
Coal down from 99000 to 1000. No IC's, nothing. Too pity , I was doing so well....

Yes it was going very well and it is the real pity. I was storming Moscow and holding the allies at bay on the west.

Did you receive expeditionary forces before the minus oil BUG?

I have the feeling that this happens when I receive expeditionary forces from my allies. The expeditionary forces are on my payroll and suck all the resources.

No, no exp. forces. But I've looked through the bug threads and - 3 times hooragh - it's a known bug which will be fixed soon. In the meantime have to fix this with F12. Seems fair not to consider it as cheating in this case :).

Thanks. It is good that it is known and will be fixed. I looked and didn't find it before posting a new thread.

How do you fix it with F12?

Happened to me, too. Oil suddenly went massively negative, which of course eliminates all your coal, too (as the game converts it into oil).

Several things had just happened in the month where the negative oil numbers started:

(1) I had just annexed Yugoslavia.
(2) I had just brough Romania to alliance.
(3) I had just received my first Romania oil event.

Not sure which one was the culprit. I would suspect it was the annexation, but I've annexed other countries before without issue.

It's on the way. I have one more set of the negative oil save files, if you need.

that´s just my free mail address...

Just had it happen as the Americans.

The problem seems to be that certain provinces suddenly develop a huge NEGATIVE oil production.

I was busy slugging it out in Europe when suddenly all my tanks ran out of gas. Searching for the culprit, I noticed that my convoy from Cuba (which I had annexed) was shipping me -4500 (or so) oil. Fortunately, I was able to salvage the game by unclicking the oil box on the convoy. Seems to point to a province issue, though.

Makes me wonder if this is the cause of other problems i've seen, with AI players. AI suddenly stops advancing (or slows to a crawl), or countries stop producing new units (because their economy has collapsed from lack of oil).
