How about making the second wife a concubine automatically? Not perfect, but you already gave the faith the possibility of having concubines...

She does become a concubine, but I don't think it's working perfectly. She had a child that I was pretty sure was mine (I was her only lover) but it was declared a bastard and I couldn't do anything about that.

Targaryens practiced polygamy even after turning to the Seven. The Targaryens should adhere to a heresy of the Seven that allows polygamy. When and if the dragons die out there should be an option to convert.

Too clunky as many events require the seven as your religion and they would get negative opinions with those of the main seven religion due to being heretics.

Just legitimise the bastard. From the Targaryen point of view, the child is legitimate. From the point of view of the Faith, if it does not accept polygamy (and I don't think we know that they granted any kind of formal exception?), then the children from the other "wife" would indeed be illegitimate.

Oh, but can't the primary wife change? So if you're lucky enough to get the event that does that before changing religions you can swap.

And if that's the case, couldn't an event like that be scripted in with the Aegon conversion ones? (Not saying this has to be done, just wondering if it would work.)

Yes, but legitimacy is determined by the Sovereign, not the Church. They didn't dare speak out against Aegon or his Valyrian practices as long as he rode atop Balerion.

Ask them to remove that checksum on religion change to lose extra wives or concubines !
Sorry that checksum makes no sense for multiplayer or anti cheat checksum.

And it ruins more immersion then anything else. This is what I sometimes get tired of those checksums.
Sometimes they ruin more good then really balance the game.

Everytime I have to find different way around checksums. Cause original engine design supports it .
