The skill Experienced Retainers is supposed to let you replace losses at no cost. However, after picking the skill my Mercian Vindicators cost exactly the same amount to replace losses. Since you only get to pick a skill every 5 levels, a wasted slot like this is not a good thing. I will try to confirm also unit types also gain no benefit from this skill.
