Bug: Helping an independence rebellion; if you lose, you get vassalized by enemy.

The title says it all. I offer to join the war of an independence rebellion (I am the King of the Reach, pre-iron throne) against the Ironborn-ruled Kingdom of the Trident. Unfortunately, they are already severely at a disadvantage, and I could not get there in time to help them win. When they surrendered, I became a vassal of the Trident, and I'm almost entirely sure this is not working as intended. Is this fixable, or do I just have to be more cautious about joining these types of wars?

That would definitely be a bug. Could you please upload a save from before the war ended?

Certainly. How would I go about doing that? I tried using the "Upload a File" button but it doesn't allow CK2 save file formats apparently?

Two things: One, this isn't the original save (I didn't have one from before the war ended), I recreated the situation but you can still see the bug if you play as Acorn's Ridge and surrender immediately. Two, I use Westeros Only mod, but I figure that wouldn't be the cause since it only affects the province map (as far as I know?)
