In the interest of eventually establishing an earlier alternative start date for my mod, I've amended defines.txt to have an earliest start date much earlier than the default start date defined in bookmarks. I've also added a few characters and titles which would be relevant to one possible early start.

Starting the game up works as normal, and I can move the start date forward from the default bookmark in the usual way. But if I step even as much as a day earlier than the default bookmark - whether or not I have previously been ahead of it - causes a fairly long pause followed by a CTD. I don't even know where to start hunting for the cause of an issue like this. Can someone give me some pointers please?

Thanks,

nd

I've been playing shattered/random world games and set my earlier start date to year 1, and added a new bookmark with the year 1 start date. No characters added to the bookmark, since I've been doing shattered/random plays and characters are automatically populated.

I believe, you'd have to add the specific character into the history/characters folder to not get a CTD
