Nov. 18 Beta -- Wife in different court

In the 1187 scenario, the wife of the Count of Carcassonne is not in his court.

EDIT: Not sure if this deserves a separate thread, but is Laurence correctly a woman's name in Occitan culture? The count's mother is named Laurence. It sounds feminine but this is a man's name in modern English-speaking countries.

It's in the scenario files. His wife is 15 when the scenario starts, in Toulouse with her parents. She turns 16 after a few days, always gets appointed to a position and stays there.

She already starts out as a "Flamboyant Schemer."

To be safe I think she should be made 16 at scenario start because I don't know if a married 15 year old (child, silouette only) would go back to the parents' court or not.

She really needs to be in his court since when he dies, all of his children (besides the heir) go to Toulouse to be with the mother. So the player loses control of his family.

By the way, are you saying this will be patched or are you telling me to fix it myself? :)

Dunno if it will be patched, but to improve the chances it's always best to be able to provide those fixing it precise information of what to fix.

EDIT Actually if you could also provide them with the id of the wife in question and the court he's to be moved it would be super-easy to fix it.

id = { type = 10 id = 5534 }
name = "Adelaide"

In 1187 characters file.

Should be moved from TOUL to C213. Birthdate should probably be made a year earlier.

I not sure this has anything to do with the beta patch. I don't have it and have had couples at different courts - the wife retained her appointment at my court when the husband was made a vassal and moved to his own county. Didn't stop them having children, though.

Same bug, different occurance

In the 1066 scenario, the wife of Robert de Hauteville, Duke of Apulia, (who is Sigelgaita di Salerno) starts the game in the county of Salerno. Like the Carcassone wife, I find that she stays there instead of comming to Apulia.

In 1066 characters:

id = { type = 10 id = 1123 }
name = "Sigelgaita"

She should be moved from c336 to APUL.

Unless there's some intentional design I'm not aware of. :cool:

Sorted for this week's patch (I hope).

Oh, but Sikilgaita's presence in Salerno was so perfect for my AAR! I actually thought maybe it was a historical event when she was caught committing adultery in July 1067.

I have a related question: one of my heirs (also a vassal) vassalized his wife, placing her in another court. I noticed that they didn't have any children. Is that because she's not in town, or was it just a fluke?
