BUG: Option 2 in "Legitimate Son revelead a bastard" (1961) is increasing piety.

I lucked into a courtier with 15 Intrigue (female, of course, as almost all the courtiers are ...). She triggered an event wherein another Duke was revealed as a Bastard. Great.

Went to that Dukes family screen and ... nothing. No bastard symbol on him nor his heirs. Any idea how this event should acually work? Is this a known bug?

The corresponding event (trigger for the victim) is a choice between taking a hit in gold and prestige for having less chance of your son becoming a bastard (only 5%), or gaining piety but having 50% chance of him becoming a bastard, or having him becoming a bastard straight away.

So the Duke may have well paid 200 gold and 50 prestige for his son not to become a bastard.

Now, why would someone choose the third option when the second seems better is a bit puzzling , I will have a look.

Yeah, it's a small bug, it should be a piety decrease, not increase
