In the Thread about Russian Octopus someone mentioned if the AI Russia or the AI in total obeys to Ruling party budget constraints...

I've checked for Russia and that's it - AI DOESN"T OBEY...

AI Russia - Democracy, Ruling party - Westernizers- Economic Policy - Lasseire Faire - BUT

In the save file poortax = 1.00

SO IS THIS BUG OR
AI ABILITY????

Any comments...

Interesting. If it's true, it would explain a lot of things, but somehow, I think the AI must be getting around the restriction. I don't suppose 1.00 could equal 50% could it?

Possible tax

other statas are
middletax = 0.49 and
richtax = 0.49

Also the money are listed few rows above and are obviously real

poortax sum is around 650, others to less then 60 - pretty realistic for Russia

so I think it is not possible tax but the tax rate....

It could just mean 100% of the possible tax, not really looked into it though.

No, that's true the AI cheats!!!

I opened a savegame and I checked Bavaria (that have a ruling laissez-faire party) and I taked this from it:

country = {
tag = BAY

ruling_party = 3400

richtax = 0.490
middletax = 0.490
poortax = 1.000

I checked the party file (BAY_party.csv) and that party (3400) is laissez-faire:

country = BAY
id = 3400
name = Liberaldem. Partei
ideology = liberal
economic = laissez-faire

As you can see the poor tax is 100%! :mad:

Were is some mod to tell you that the AI not cheats when you need one??? :rofl:

I don't know for sure, but perhaps the savegame shows what the AI aims for, then party restrictions are put on top of that during the game?

This might just be how it is saved, no-one is able to see what takes place in-game, AFAIK.

Anyway, if the AI indeed isn't limited by party policies, I consider it to be a bug, not a deliberate implementation choice. As Mamnon says, Johan has been pretty adamant about the AI cheating. Perhaps this belongs in the bug forum?
