[Bug Report] Crusader Kings 2 crash to desktop while loading

After the patch download I am unable to start up CK 2.

It will get to loading screen and as soon it try to load graph it crash.

It was fine yesterday.

I attached my dmp file.

Verify your files with Steam. If that doesn't work, post in the Bug Forum. Patch runs perfectly fine for me.

As a side note you might want to also log this under the Bug Reports sub-forum so the QA team can document this more efficiently should the issue persist for you.

That's not a bug, but a technical support issue.
Post in the subforum for it or if "on probation" doesn't allow that, then submit a request ticket at support directly: https://support.paradoxplaza.com/hc/en-us

..and yeah, expect mods to be incompatible. Run the game clean. No mods and fresh CK2 folder in Documents.

PS: If the problem persist, turn off your antivirus for one start of the game. Then turn back on when in game.

I had the same problem, turns out I still had a couple mods running from before the patch. Try turning them off!

Same problem here, disabling the "Scale_UI"-Mod solved the problem.

I had the same problem but turns out I left the Bigger Interface mod running which caused the game to close. Turned that off and all fine.

Go to Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II. In there, delete the folder called "gfx". Note that this is NOT the /gfx/ folder under Steam/SteamApps/common/CK2 .
Now restart your game, it will recreate that folder and fix the problem.

You also need to add ck2game.exe to the exceptions list/whitelist of your antivirus app.

Obviously disable all mods until they get updated accordingly.
