Yes he was historically King of communist Romania, but why would the Commune of France place him in charge of Romania? I could accept it if it was just a radical socialist government or some such but Totalist? Not really, the historical reasons for it do not really apply in KR so I think it would be better just to place some Stalinist Romanian as head of state.

I agree with your point of view, I was just saying there might be a reason why the team used him. Also, if the royalist revolution manages to overthrow the Iron Guard, then Romania would have Mihai as leader, at least for a while. Maybe just tweak the liberation event so that Groza is HoS if liberated by a syndie country?

Found a third way (aside from Long winning and MacArthur taking control) to avoid the ACW2: Curtis won elections, implemented some of Reed's reforms then backed down when Long pressured him - final result USA as Market Liberal as opposed to Social Liberal... This led to Reed calling Curtis all kinds of names, but no civil war. Mind you, there was no endorsement from the former president, both Reed and Long contested the election results and the minute men were established. Also, Long was banned from negotiating with the president. So all in all, not really nice results to events and yet nothing of importance to report.

Sir Robert Menzies is a potential Minister of intelligence for the Union Of Britain. While I suppose some excuse could be developed for him being there, at the very least he should not have a knighthood in the Union.

Here's another one: while I was busy trying to win the SACW with the Commune, the Quing were busy thrashing some Mongolian... armies. A series of events fires (Sternberg gives up, the Chinese give him over to the Russians who chose to execute him, the Chinese give the Transiberian back to Russia and so forth). What actually happened was that Mongolia continued to exist, Quing just gained the fact that they now own the four provinces in Mongolia they had conquered and have cores on the rest of it and as for the Russians, they got absolutely nothing as the Transiberian was still Mongolian and Sternberg was still the HoS of said country (although he remained at war with the Quin, so at least that's something, I guess).
My point is that during that first event where Mongolia supposedly surrenders, the secede province commands didn't fire.

Thanks for founding this problem. It was relatively easily solved since only bug was missing command in event 925012 for inheriting of MON by Qing.

I've noticed several weird division placements. (Currently playing version 1.2)

I don't know if these bugs have already been noticed, but I'll point them out anyway.

First, German carrier 'SMS Peter Strasser', in Port Said is a model 2 carrier (model = 1 in the .inc file; the Blumenthal class). However, the tech for that carrier is not yet researched by Germany. Is this intended?

Lithuania has an air division, the 'Lietuvos Karines Oro Pajegos' fleet, based in Memel, a German province. Since Lithuania and Germany are both allies, this is not much of a complain. But since it is the only air division Lithuania has, wouldn't it make more sense to place it in Kaunas, the country's only air base?

The Ottoman Empire has a garrison division in The Cyclades, a Greek province. The Ottomans don't have military access on Greek territory, and the division will just vanish from the province upon game's start. I don't think this is intended.

The Ottoman fleet 'Al-Afriqiya Filosu' is placed at Tripoli (Syria) upon game's start. That province, though, doesn't have a naval base.

Aside those (which are not really of any serious importance), great job on this mod. ;)

EDIT: The Japanese navy has a carrier under the name of '1. Koku Sentai'. Weird, since that's the name for a carrier fleet, not a carrier ship. Don't know if this is intended.

EDIT2: AlgOstAsien GmbH's OOB needs to be reworked. All of their divisions are concentrated to the south of the country, leaving the central and north areas strangely "empty".

Some answers to your questions:

@ Jamhaw and Blackoberst: basically we have done nothing yet to thr releasable Balkan countries, which include vanilla Romania. As such the team has no official position on the position of Mihai yet.

@ Blackoberts: all events not leading to the ACW are bugs, as it is meant to happen to prevent America outproducing everyone (too soon). We neve corrected them in order to give players a way to prevent the war.
On your second post, a brave member of our team is checking and correcting many of these events.

@ Jamhaw: I guess Robert Menzies was confused with Stewart Menzies, longtime head of the Secret Intelligence Service. No way that an Australian PM would double as a British minister of intelligence. I'll delete that minister.

@ omega20:
- noticed the discrepancy in Germanies ships and techlevels. This will be corrected
- Lithuania will have a new OOB in the next version.
- Will look into the Ottoman OOB. They where up for revision anyway, with the Turks having a fleet more modern that Germany, who probably built it in the first place.
- The 1. Koku Sentai is probably meant to represent a number of smaller aircraft tenders the Japanese used for coastal defence. These ships are hard to represent otherwise ingame.

I found a bug within an event. Currently playing version 1.2

When it comes for Poland to choose a king, an event will pop up asking Germany whether it agrees to the crowning or not. What's weird is that, even if Germany allows the Polish to crown their king (which would increase relations between both countries), in the following Polish event annothe polish to have their king.

I found another bug; the "Stopping the oil shipments" event for Romania, has the line "persistent = yes", so the event keeps firing every few days. In my current game Italy, they are producing 800 units of oil a day.

Does others also have broken Oil Refining tech chain or is it just me?
Also, in my 1.2 game Siberia broke free from Russia, joined Japan, Soviets declared on them and next day bitter peace for Soviets triggered. I undestand this triggered because Soviets held no provinces east of Ural but is that WAD?
Also I in 1.3 Beta I got no Fall of Paris and consequently no decision about France future after annexation.
And though my english is not too good I think that Liberia ACW event when they join Nat. Fr. should not be "Seek protection from National France". They don't need protection from them they need to be protected by them. ;)
I had one more problem but I can't remeber it right now. :)

After playing 1.3 Beta 1:
(sorry for poor language level, I hope you can understand what I tried to express :) )

- In all my games after Korean uprising Japan has never conquest the island of Jeju. So mighty Japan couldn't beat some irregular solders hiding on island in the middle of empire?:) /AI bug???/

- Playing CofF I beat Germany, Kaiser has run to Africa, and... nothig happand! No occupation regime, no liberation from the vile capitalist, no creation of new communes in Germany. So my question is, how did they administrated Germany if they were just a union of syndicats? Even Soviets in 1939 created election tu soviets in Eastern Poland (or Western Belarusia and Ukraine, if you like), and in 1944 (well, in fact even earlier) they created puppet communist regimes (Nowotko, Hoga etc.). My point is, communist country (or syndicalist) couldn't just conquer, they are oblighted by their ideology to LIBERATE (or "liberate" ;) ). So the construction of syndycalist new regime should begin even before the war, maybe after delegalisation and disaband of the workers unions in Germany?

- Same situation during playing as German Reich. In previous version there was en event about creation all that cool states (Brytania etc :D), It was really great idea, something like F. D. R. idea of shattering germany into Bavaria, etc. after the second world war. :) Now, nothing happens. The same situation after conquesting Union of Britan, the same after destroing (by German Reich) Combinated Syndicates of America (what about: 1st option- dissaband the union of states and free all the states as puppets of Germany, 2nd- give power to Long)

- Russia has still many bugs. When I rebild Russia as liberal country, after I "missed the opportunity" to conquest for example Ukraine or Alash Orda, there were no way to get cores for their provinces later. And, of course, after the 1940 the game was really BORING, couse nothing happans (again :))

- Playing China, (Pu-i) really cool, good work. But what after the reunification?

To sum up, You did a grat job guys :) Congratulation. Despite of that bugs, it's the greatest mod ever, better even that Magna Mundi and CORE :)

- In all my games after Korean uprising Japan has never conquest the island of Jeju. So mighty Japan couldn't beat some irregular solders hiding on island in the middle of empire?:) /AI bug???/

Yeah, I have never seen Japanese to conquer Jeju too. Once I even loaded as Korea, disbanded whole Korean army and still Jeju stayed unconquered. Maybe the VP should be removed from Jeju? It just taakes too many Japanese forces and severely weakens them. I've seen them to leave up to 20 divisions there.

Thank you!
That was the one bug I wasn't able to remember before. And later on I got von Papen returns events which increased dissent though he never even went away to be able to return.
Sorry for spamming it here with my posts, I'll try to restrict myself. Unless I find some more bugs, that's it.;)

Another bug, this one for version 1.3 Beta

Once I conquer Germany as CoF, the Kaiser chooses the option to annex Mittelafrika and establish a new government there. However, the capital of the German Empire remains in Hanoi, Indonesia. Also, after this, why does Germany stays with just 6 IC? I know the African provinces are not full of IC, but I remember Mittelafrika to have had a larger base IC earlier. I see no reason for Germany to be unable to use those now.

Possible event bugs as German Empire?

1. Ireland: When Ireland is invited into Mitteleurope, the messages show that England has an event the Ireland joins Mitteleurope, but nothing else happens. Is Ireland supposed to ally or what?

2. When the event fires for supporting Russia versus Japan: If you choose to support Russia as German Empire you will also get to choose the Japanese reaction. Clearly a misattributed event.

Otherwise things seem to work nicely. Except for the unexpected high cost for intelligence operations, which seem to decline over time, so I take this works as designed.

Cheers,
Tully

EDIT: minor correction.

In my recent game (1.3beta) McArthur established military junta before the ACW, but soon after the war's eruption US he was replaced as US HoS with Alf Landon. The government is still national populist and I don't recall such case in any previous version of KR.

Apart from that I agree that Russian foreign policy requires a complete overhaul. I like the idea of i.e. Russo-Japanese alliance against Sternberg, which happened in my last game, but a wider perspective should be introduced. I guess I'll post some ideas later.
