Getting this myself; new ruler and I cannot see the options for feast/hunt/fair/pilgrimage. Using the latest beta, and I haven't edited any pertinent files.

Mod combo? External mods? What do you mean by new nuler? Have you played the character for awhile? How long? Did you EVER see the options for the new ruler? Or did you not check before later noticing they weren't there? When you run charinfo ALL on the console and hover your mouse over your ruler's portrait, is the do_not_disturb flag set in the tooltip?

If my character has sympathy for pagans and a pagan has zealous, why should their opinion of me (-50 for zealous and -20 for sympathy vs zealous) be worse than if I did not have sympathy for them? I understand the -20 penalty for people of my own religion, but are these pagans thinking "I hate you even more because you don't hate my people?"

Also, everything I mentioned in http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum...ug-reports&p=16961277&highlight=#post16961277 still applies. Was it, too lost in the shuffle of the UTF-8 hullabaloo?

Look at the mare incognitum just north of Iceland in the SWMH+NBRT map. There are what look like four pixel marks in one of the map layers.

Edit: pixels, man

That's a vanilla thing too. If one were to remove the opposite penalty for zealous it would prevent it from getting a malus with cynical characters.

PB/VIET only, external mod: alternate mongol children portraits. New ruler as in my last one just died and I'm playing as his son. Saw and used the events with the father.

Managed to resolve it with event 72113; once the message about a cancelled feast popped up I then had the option to call only a tournament i.e. no feast/hunt/fair/pilgrimage. Once I called and finished a tournament the other options appeared as normal. Bizarrely, the tooltip wasn't showing on the final tournament pop up.

I'll check the charinfo ALL thingie.

Yeah, that's a weird edge case where vanilla's relatively simplified opposite trait mechanism drops the ball a bit, I guess. Mainly, you can't setup a [traits-only] trigger to opinion modifier mapping. That would allow things such as cancelling the zealous vs. cynical opposite_opinion if a compatible sympathy trait is present.

OTOH, one could argue that the non-reformed zealous pagan independently dislikes you for being cynical (i.e., not a literal and actively devout believer/follower of the divine vs. them being, well, the opposite of that) AND that they slightly dislike you more than usual for being such a cynical bastard AND "posing" as a sympathizer. But that would just be a creative interpretation of an opaque understanding of the traits. Since they're not actually that sophisticated and what you see is a purely a side-effect of the limited way in which traits are defined, that is of course just the sort of story you tell yourself to get-by. ;)

Hi all, i'm new to the forum! I love this game and this mod and i think it brings more historical flavour and fun to vanilla. I've installed the new version, and I'm having a bug. When my char is under 16 years old and he/she has a ward, I get several events giving me traits (like ambitious, or brave, or patient ecc, I guess ward's trais), then immediatley another event pops up giving just the opposite effect. For example if i gain the trait "ambitious", a day later "the ambitious trait is lost", or if i gain "gregarious" a day later i get "shy" trait, always from the ward that is being disappointed or something else. I don't know if its intended to be that way but if this is a bug how can i fix it?

It's a vanilla thing; your guardian can decide to try to counter traits you gain.
If you're ever someone's guardian, you'll get to see those events from the other side.

When I use the customizer to give my character a fancy new shave and 'do I lose this customization after exiting and reloading the game. I'm using HIP with all modules except Immersion, as well as many other mods. If I try this in a game with no mods the character's appearances keeps my changes. Any idea what might be making the difference?

Looks like one of the other mods? I tested it with a clean HIP/SWMH set and it loaded from both a resign and a fresh start and had no problem - the changes were there.

Try it with HIP only and see if it still happens.

Might be due to vanilla, but my ruler couldn't select options as hunting, loans and the great blot (it MUST've been 9 years, I'm quite sure), despite not having any negative traits like sickness or something. Once he died, the successor had them back. Very weird. It was actually with Fairhair, and the events worked fine up until 10 years into the game I suppose, when I became King. :p [full HIP]

Playing Shattered World with all immortal characters, reformed West African Religion, became un-immortal, lost all my titles.
@Meneth: Think this could be a potential Paradox "bug" related to reevaluating traits' potential = { ... } clauses when a character's religion is changed (i.e., due to the internal changes required for the religious=yes trait flag to trigger loss of the trait upon religion change)? I mention this because the potential clause for Immortal is always = no rather than trait = immortal.

I wonder if it happens every time you convert religion at all as an Immortal.

To say the least, that is a pretty rarely touched part of our codebase, so I can't say much directly for its stability. However, the impetus for the bug being religious conversion really makes me wonder about the above out-of-left-field hunch.

Tried out this mod with all the modules sans SWMH (because compatibility) and with the portrait fix (as the only portrait DLC I have is the mongol one.) Think I messed up my install somehow, but a reinstall isn't fixing it - two issues so far.

1) Two counties, Santiago and Sijilmasa, are empty.
2) West African cultures are messed up. The provinces south of the sahara lack any culture, while Mossi culture shows up in the white sea and the west african terra incognita provinces.

1. Santiago and Sijilmasa do not appear in PB + VIET (Santiago is a barony)
I just took a look at them in both Immersion, SWMH, and Vanilla and they seemed fine.

It looks like it would be a problem with the install. Did you DELETE HIP in the mod folder before the reinstall? Make sure all of the old files are gone before putting the new ones in. And are you using the updated release Meneth put out today or Saturday's release? Just to check - no other mods?

Well, if they don't appear that would explain them being empty. I didn't delete HIP, so I'll try that. No other mods, and I didn't see a release today so I'm on Saturday's release. Am using the portrait fix although I have no idea how that could be messing with things - it's the only thing I didn't mention.

EDIT: reinstall didn't work.

I can't attack Christian targets as the mongol empire. It seems that there is a check in the tribal_invasion cb which doesn't allow you to attack Christians. It's line 2859 and 2860 in common\cb_types\00_cb_types.txt.

Hey, "Love_Flavor_Events.txt" from the VIET_Events module has on line 995: "trait = aribtrary" and I'm fairly certain it should be "trait = arbitrary".

Also in "VIET_marriage.txt" from the same module I believe you missed an equals sign on lines 398 and 629. You also misspelled "gregarious" as "gragarious" on line 743.
