The 00_religions.txt file of the VIET Immersion module still has incorrect character encoding. It's encoded as UTF-8, not Windows-1252.

Hmm. Looks like I forgot about that, I'll see what I can do

Seems the missing localisations I mentioned a few pages ago (d_frisia etc.) are all related to new additions to the 'County'(actually kingdom?) of Frisia, which contains all these.

Appears the installer was bugged, as it didn't remove certain files as it was supposed to - this will be fixed in this upcoming update for this weekend.

I think for now you can temporarily fix it by going into "mod/Historical Immersion Project/interface" and deleting *every* gfx file that starts with "portraits" in the interface folder, except for "portraits.gfx" and "portrait_sprites.gfx".

Thank You very much :) Will check it in a second.

'County'(actually kingdom?) of Frisia, which contains all these.

It is actually considered as a kingdom in-game, but historically the ruler was apparently considered as a count.

Here's hoping there will be a quick update to make it compatible with the new patch so I can get back to a new game. I don't want to go back to vanilla. :)

I have the following modules installed:

Historical Immersion Project (2014-03-08)
Enabled modules:
ARKO Armoiries (2014-02-15)
ARKO Interface (2014-02-15)
Project Balance (v3.4.6 - 2014-03-08)
SWMH - English localisation (v2.8521 - 2014-02-17)
NBRT+ (v2.0 - 2014-03-08)
VIET Events (v1.5.4 - 2014-03-08)

I would like to report that in at least the 867 and 1066 bookmarks the counties of Piacenza, Volterra and Arezzo have no holders (No Character). There may be different counties in different bookmarks with a similar problem, but these are the ones I know of.

In the meantime, is there a way to assign these counties to a character myself?

Are they showing as wastelands, or do they simply get a ruler generated upon campaign start, while still preserving proper vassalization?
If the second, that happens in a number of places in SWMH. Not really intended to my knowledge, but doesn't cause any major issues either. Still, it would probably be useful to compile a list so that it could gradually be fixed over time.

Most recent download, getting the "omelette" narrative over and over and over...

Which is a shame, because it was really a shining moment in the game the first time it popped up. I have also noticed that 4/5 times it has started with the raid on the camp and skip the whole starting off in the village part.

Good lord, these event chains still aren't finished giving me a headache... apparently we thought after some testing that problem was solved this update, but guess not.

Anyhow thanks for mentioning that it appears to start halfway through most of the time, that does sound like something very important.

It seemed that non-landed characters might have been getting as well. My ruler got it as a child, but he was like 14 at the time, so it sort of made some sense. I had a son get the modifier at like age 6, which might be a bit too young to be chasing down bandits.

Hmm... That is really strange. I've triple checked the code and nothing suggests it should be happening for unlanded characters or children... Not to mention with the most recent update I forced the event to only trigger once the entire game, and to only trigger a non-AI. It's like as if the thing is somehow ignoring all my code...

Just to make sure, when you say the most recent update, you mean the one that was released this Saturday/a couple days ago, right? And, additionally, are you getting the omelette event chain on a savegame that started before the most recent update (i.e. the one from this Saturday)? If so it might be possible since it was an old save some remnants of the old bugs still remained (though even then I would imagine it would only fire once after the new update and then never fire again, for anyone)

In West Africa, the "mande" and "sosso" cultures are rendered in lower case on the character screen. The West African provinces themselves are all "noculture".

Exactly the same issue here.

It should have been the update on the 22nd. And this was a brand new game from the 867 start as a custom Count of Arlon/Luxemburg. When I get home from work I can PM you some screenshots.

I am also noticing a high number of people with the gluttonous trait, I wonder if it is related.

Good lord, the madness still doesn't end... and after checking my event code a gazillion times I don't think it has to do with the code per se.... The high number of people with the gluttonous trait might just be confirmation bias (or whatever the proper term in this situation is), but the fact that you're getting spammed with omelettes in nonsensical situations where it shouldn't be happening definitely indicates something is wrong and that it's not merely RNG going wonky.

using HIP,roi philipe of france just gained the "master in jungle" combat trait.I mean cmon,,,
