hey, guys! i have an intall error!

install_error.jpg

i used "HIP - RoI - 2014-04-12" file. help me!

It installed fine on Windows 7, for me. But I am getting some visual anomalies after selecting to play Christian of Hamburg, and then clicking Arrange Marriage. What looks like white hair with a ponytail is hanging above and to the right of Margit, Courtier in Bacs. If I click her portrait, it goes to the screen correctly under her liege, but again, the hair is hanging diagonally above her portrait.

Latest HIP, fully patched. All DLCs save musical ones installed.

What combination of modules are you running?

VIET, complete, including Immersion.
ARKOpack Armoiries
Project Balance

I've seen no other visual problems yet. Tried loading a few other rulers to play and check this out.

If it isn't a vanilla issue (vanilla had some issues after they implemented some portrait compression, but I think those are supposed to be fixed now) it is probably caused by Immersion, since that's the only mod in HIP that mods portraits.

I'm trying to see if I can reporudce this right now; as Meneth says it's likely Immersion's fault.

The fact that it's the only portrait affected leads me to agree.

Playing with every module except SWMH and PB's "No ahistoric empire" decision seems to be bugged. Some of the empires don't vanish fully. Specifically, Abyssinia, Arabia, Bulgaria, Caucausia, Capathia, Mali and Tartaria (plus the two Romes, Persia and the Indian empires, of course). I am playing in the Stamford Bridge start, if it matters.

@Bertouch: I can't seem to reproduce the issue. Are you sure you have all the portrait DLCs, including the latest Indian and Turkish portraits?

Ah... appears like I may not have accounted for some of the empire changes in PB+VIET. I'll look into that.

I probably forgot to update it for RoI. I'll have to look into it, thanks.

The fault is mine--or I could blame it at least partially on the CK2 launcher. For some reason, several portrait DLCs were turned off after I loaded in HIP, when all official ones typically stay on automatically every time I play.

Turned everything back on, no problems. Will test more, later.

Awesome, sounds good. Sometimes the launcher does weird stuff...

Very much confused why in my last game, it's possible to declare religious reconquests on... duchies of fully different religion? And then they don't even keep it. Or get the cooldown. What this means is that sizeable Norse guys aren't actually expanding properly, as they're going for the CB that will get them the whole duchy... and then it does nothing.

And since CB's haven't been touched in the update, I don't think this is going to have changed...

PB, SWMH, Viet Events, Arkopack. Basically everything but Immersion.

The only way I see that being possible is if a county within the duchy has a misplaced barony in another duchy. That way, the requirement about having a dejure title in a location with a different religion would be technically true.
Could you open up the ProjectBalance.txt CB file, and below line 1006 add "tier = count" and see if that fixes it?
