I started playing with the newest version and for some reason my entire family decides to become either a monk or nun. My charachter is russian and orthodox but under a norse tribal pagan. It has come so far that my second son, my brother in law and my wife and 3 of my daughters who came of age went nun. I keep getting a pop-up with no text with the option to let them or not. In my eyes this is a bug because at this rate my entire family consist of monk's and nun's.

Been happening to me too. No text on the event - just the two options telling me whether I want them to be a monk or not.

This seens like a quick and easy workaround. Can you tell me which line in which file do I need to do it to seens if it works??

If you go into the common\objectives folder, there's a file called 00_factions.txt.

Open it up, go to the faction_pretender entry, look for the "allow" section. There's a whole part of that enclosed within a new_character scope. Just add "is_alive = yes" like so:

Code:
    new_character = {
       is_alive = yes
       prisoner = no
       ...

Let me know if that does the trick (it should make any factions supporting dead claimants disappear within short order).

So, recently as a Sunni, I was able to push my Sunni wife's claim on a Sunni title (which I think was probably Agnatic? I don't see how it couldn't have been.) I am not sure if this was supposed to be possible. It resulted in her new title being set to Gavelkind with no gender law, and this weird status was inherited down the line afterwards. This was using the most recent CK2+ and the Most Recent beta patch [IMRT checksum]

I can't find an appropriate save with being able to press such a female claim right now, but I'll save one the next time I see it in case you need it. I plan to fix the issue with brute force either by switching to Catholic and back with the console or editing the save directly if that fails.

In unrelated notes, The Abbasid Emperor has a habit of transferring vassals to me right after I load the game (presumably to get under his limit), and only then. I'm not sure why, and it probably isn't something you could fix. Also, the game seems to crash quite often playing this run, and I sort of suspect it's to do with a lot of visible map and moving units all at once (due to having sight of the whole Empire).

EDIT: The Arabian empire tried to revoke me later, I rebelled, and we eventually white peaced out. After the WP I somehow got flipped back into gavelkind again. This seems to be a recurring Muslim problem at the moment.

I think the patriarch of antiochia dosent like his job,each time I appoint one he just leave after a couple of months. I appoint a new one... he does the same ... and again.

You'll need to explain that a bit more.

You appoint someone to the temple barony of Antiocheia, I assume? And he becomes a bishop who then acquires the titular duchy title for the patriarchate? And then what happens? You say he just "leaves"...meaning what? He returns the title to you?

Do you have a save where this happens? Or can you tell me what religion you are, and more about your circumstances in the game?

Ah i think i may get it My rank is only Great duke and the patriarch may only answer to a king or emperor ? or... well this is the save state . hmm says i cant upload because its the wrong extension ? its a .ck2 save file. Ok what i did was a picked in 769 the addauid just east of byz empire . made a Othodox duke with rule designer and boosted him a little bit to be able to fend off abbassid empire attack... ( just a bit ) :p revoked or plotted the chuch in anthochia and put a priest there ... he turned of course into the patriarchate of antioch but he has no atual master because im probably only duke? or great duke in this time. Each time i put a new patriarch he would just give back his title after a month or 2 .

Does that mean if i use shattered realm action it will do the same ?
