BUG : Russian railroad event

Russian railroad event

Did something get messed up in the 1.02 patch with the pre-1840 "Russia has the French build a small RR in St Petersburg" event. It worked fine in 1.01, but now it requires Experimental RR as a trigger instead of giving it as a benefit. The tech is unreachable by the deathdate, thus never triggers. Is this a bug or WaD?


I know that I am being a little short on exact detail. Could someone tell me if there is an easy way to copy something from the event file for posting, and if so, what it is?

Yup, seems buggy to me. I looked at the event file, it has a trigger:

date = { day = 1 month = octobre year = 1837}

perhaps rather

date = { day = 1 month = october year = 1837}

Also there does seem to be inconsistency with the enddates anyway, I'd presume it needs to be changed to trigger starting from 1837 or the tech requirement removed. Dunno which works best.

Should it give the Experimental RR as an effect? I would also, if it is not in there already, suggest that there be a "not-at-war-with-France" condition in the trigger.
