Bugs with Heir & Newborn Son

So I have a fantastic son, with a family and his own son. And for years he was the heir that I had chosen. Then I had a newborn baby with a new wife and the game instantly changed my heir to this 0 year old child.

This is an error and the game should not do this.

Then, I wanted to change it back to my other son but it isn't letting me. I click the Nominate button, select my other son, but nothing happens. This seems to be another error. I suspect it is because he is now a Pretender. Which never should have happened if the game kept my original choice that he was my chosen heir.

There seems to be code that automatically changed your heir when you give birth to a son. And then when another son becomes a pretender doesn't allow you to nominate him again.

Hope this gets fixed.

I believe this is because more people are voting for your character's grandchild than for your character's son, but I could be wrong. Try looking at the tooltip for each character on that screen and see who has more votes (and who has your character's vote).

Maybe they have bad relations with your first son, or maybe they feel like they want less oversight that comes with being ruled by a one year old than if they were ruled by someone who could actually tell them what to do.

If you hover your mouse on the current heir you will see a popup telling you who is voting for him.

I know, but one month before the death of my clanleader, everything was finde. If this change in this last month it would be impossible to change the opinion of my vassals in this short time. Ich really think there is something wrong.
