Build units from allies

HOI-DH: Is there a way to suppress / prevent allies from building new units? At a certain point I don't need any more units from them and the newly built / unused ones only burden the game speed or from a certain number of units the game seems to hang up from time to time!

Important question. If it could be modified through an event, where you take partly or full control, of your minors production strategy, that would be great.
