Hi,

i have an issue with the building graphics.

If i try opening the building .dds files in PS, they are always messed up. (No problem with other icons like for techs)

I try to make a new building, saved it as .dds and start game, but the pictures is also messed up and not shown correctly.

How to open them, and more important, how to save them, that stellaris can show them correctly.
Thanks in advance.

the .dds or DirectDraw Surface format isn't native to most image programs (save for paint.net) and requires a plugin to be downloaded. both Photoshop and GIMP have the .dds plugin somewhere on their websites but your on your own from there unless someone has a link.

what's the path to buildings.dds? I can't find it and it's always a rotten bastard trying to find individual files like these.

They are in /gfx/interface/icons/buildings/...

Size is 98x98. But I don't see how you would need to do something else than with any other files. Like the technology files

Alternatively open .dds in paint.net, save as a png and open in Photoshop. That's how I'm working on portraits. For some reason my photoshop can never read .dds files properly (with installed plugin).
