  • If anybody have idea for a name for this city please share your thoughts. My initial plan was to use danish names for the city, districts, streets and buildings. but the game only support the English alphabet. so I'm translating it to English instead.

  • I was suggested to post here so I could add new pictures (and maybe videos) of my build. but at first I didn't think I would make more until the new DLC's. But here it is.

I'm currently making a remake of a city I made before. after seeing what parklife and industries had to offer. So I planned ahead for these new asset's to arrive on console.

this is the one I made before (only have this footage of it)

The trainstation have gotten a facelift. I'v noticed that there were no way the sims could cross the platform without walking on the tracks to I added a patchway between the rails. We just have to imagne that it¨s stairs.

The reason the brigde to the new "under development" island is so high is because the ships need room to pass under it.

A monorail is set up to transport sims from the center of the city quickly to the harbor area.

I started the simulation so I could get a city center filled with "old" buildings. however I could really use the "historic building" tab from industry's DLC. So I can control the developments. But it has to wait.

have tried to create some farmland... but because the "farms" are so small I create my own custom fields. to make it look better. Will utilize the industry's DLC. for better looking farmland when it comes.

my near city suburban areas are getting pretty dense.. It's almost time to expand to new areas where the sims can get a bit more room with larger lots. ( most of these houses will be deleted when we get the industry's DLC' so I can control the type of building that spawn )

I wanted to create a park with a lake. Because I don't want to turn the water outlet on and off all the time I create a bassin right next to it. It can be seen top left corner "almost" It's a canal piece with a pump in it. so when the lake overflows it just goes over the steet and in to the canal. and is contained there.. the bassin also is a part of the city's global warming preparedness plan.

The X districts you can see in the picture here. is areas that only just cover the roads. I use these to control trucks in the city. I want them to use the harbor tunnel. instead of going though the city center.

Here I can spend a lot of time trying to spawn a gas station by the highway.. delete and repeat.

A NEW YEAR' POST
Not a lot have happened. as predicted, currently i'm waiting for Jan. 31th. So see the news for PS4. maybe a update will happen at that date as well..

But in the meantime. I can start to play on PC. And I think that I will try to recreate this city on PC, but with help of mods and all DLC's hopefully it's going to be a real nice results.

A New area, for industries DLC, here is the processing plants going to be located. Now I just filled with dirty generic industry.

The Highway between the city and the little village got a facelift.

The new passenger station at the outskirts of the city, in the new surburban aream that is going to be the city limit as well. The Rail network have been extended to the area seen in the first picture.

The highway intersection.. Here I would really wish I had Traffic President, because the sims turn left when entering the Highway instead of using the on/off ramp in the proper direction. ( if anyone have a solution to this, please let me know. )

The rails really help with the ordinary traffic flow in the city, that and some well placed heavy traffic bans, insures that everything is running smoothly.

On the other side of the city, the residential areas, are slowly beginning to grew together. And a High school was fitting for the area. So the young people don't have to travel very long for school.. I have made some School bus routes already. for the young people living in the little village, because they don't have a high school there.

I haven't made much more in this area. This is the area I'm most unsatisfied with, because I don't like how the farms look. This is going to be the most different looking area when I'm going to make it on PC.

This area is more like it.. even though the fields are very small it fits better to the area i think.

And my city just got a new attraction. for the sims and tourists to enjoy. I have some trouble with the road being uneven. and you can kind of see under the map when you go close. this happens when I place roads and building next the the sea walls. don't really know what I can do about unfortunately. ( If this picture was closer to the aquarium it would be visible )

One of the more unrealistic areas. but I made it to works. and It looks nice, But I had to spilt up the traffic from the "top" in order to give them access to the entire rail network in the city. But I doubt a train could manage such a sharp turn in real life.

The Forrest and Oil and Ore workers don't need to drive the long way up to the plateau anymore. now they can get there with the new lift. happy sims.

The Industrial area. Is almost done.. It's difficult to remake a city from PS4 but I'm trying to start with creating some of the more special areas. and then connecting them together in the end.

I'm almost done with the harbor front. :) I'v added the large recycling on the first Island. because I't makes sense to place it near the city but also in a heavy industrial area :) also nice to finally finding a (or more) use for this island :)

I have tried to place down some building manually.. I like that I can do that now.. But it's waaaay to early though.. and they are going to get abandoned a lot of times before people will be able to move in to them... sorry it's not the best picture of them..

An area I'm done with is the Power plant.. also not the biggest of cause. But here I also enjoyed have move it and ground coloring tool installed, And I used the tollbooth and a security before entering the area. In the distance you might be able to see some sandbanks. I placed them there to stop the ships from entering the bay area.. :)

and I you are really REALLY bored you can watch me for 3 hours doing some of the build.. (nice audio though LOL )
