So I've been watching the streams and noticing a few things. A Scorpion tank in an early mission showed a maximum of 120 Armor with some of it already removed due to "Poor Maintenance" I presume (the debuffs are not being moused over). Later on a Scorpion tank moused over has 180 Armor, though Structure remains the same. Similarly, a "Medium Military Building" is showing 100 Structure early on, but after a point in a 2-Rank mission a "Medium Military Building" is showing 150 Structure; this is not the only time a variance has been noted.

The buildings have me wondering if those are semi-randomized or are set values for each map biome, or does ranking of the mission (or advancement through the game) start changing these values?

A secondary thing is how the Structure for 'Mechs is set for each weight level (all 55 tonners have the same Structure) but vehicles seems wildly varying:

A Scorpion shows 75 Structure and is 25 tons.
A Galleon shows 75 Structure and is 30 tons.
A Striker shows 20 Structure and is 35 tons.

Or, the devs are evil wotsits after my own heart and doing it all randomly to mess with those people who want everything all orderly :p

Seriously though, it would be nice to have an answer.

I have noticed there is also greyed out parts of the Armor bar and it may be a random amount being taken off AND not being shown as reduced for Vehicles but they are for Mechs in comparison

The "Ramshackle" or "Ill-maintained" state for Mechs and Vehicles appears to be either 25% or 50%.

Though I must add that it was my hope that some measure of such Armor and Internal Structure Variance would find its way into BATTLETECH's BattleMechs. Perhaps a small reduction as a result of increasing Service Age, or as a means to with but a few points of Armor or Internal Structure one or the other, provide a nuance between a BattleMech's base model and its Variants.

As a start point BATTLETECH will offer up many potential "levers"...

...some "levers" HBS will make a lot of use of as we move forward. While all "levels" are primed for our Modders to explore and improvise with. : )

It's noted the armor does appear to be missing, but the maximum for 'Mechs does not change, only how much of the maximum is there. Pirate 'Mechs do appear to be going in with up to 50% of their armor missing.

With the earliest/tutorial Matches being 25% if I recall correctly. Smart move by HBS.

I'm surprised that was possible, as last year they were not sure they could do that. Then I guess they figured out a debuff possibility.

Still, the variable max armor/structure for buildings/vehicles has me curious if that's a bug or intentional.
