CAGs?

Sorry for putting this here but the CORE HoI1 forums are like a ghost-town.

Where are the CAGs in CORE 0.91? I'm playing France and only have Torpedo Planes, no CAGS. But the techs still say they give bonuses to CAGs.

I can't remember exactly but I believe in HoI1 that you could put any plane on a carrier and Core remodelled the Torpedo plane as the CAG unit. The description might say CAG, but the model might still be called Tor (or whatever) since that might not have been possible to change to CAG.

So, despite being called Torpedo Planes, they are really CAGs? And recieve the CAG bonuses from techs?

I believe so, but then again its been a year since I played it last. Perhaps someone with more definitive knowledge will chime in?

Torpedo bombers are the CAGs for CORE1. It has been awhile since I have played a game of HoI1, but any tech that increases the skills of your carrier groups will say "torpedo +5" or something along those lines. I don't think it will actually say CAG. CAG as a unit type is something that was added as a part of HoI2. Your torpedo planes which are based on the Bearn are your CAGs and will be improved by those techs. MDow
