Anybody interested in working on an Interwar Modification, basically from the end of the Victoria timetable (1920) up to the start of regular HoI2 (and then onwards), please post! :).

This all depends on the notimelimit modification (whenever some brilliant person is able to come out with one that doesn't crash everything) and its capabilities. I think this would be interesting because it would basically be a game where people can acutally prevent ww2. For example; allied countries can try to make democratic germany stronger by lessening reparation payments, each country has to go through the depression and avoid revolution and if they are in revolution different factions might win.

I can imagine many different outcomes. Mussolini never gaining power and the liberal-centrist government managing to survive or another faction like the socialists gaining power, or the king putting in a military dictatorship. The monarchy returning to Germany, the military taking over, or a socialist victory. The isolationists dominating american politics, Britain going fascist, counter-revolution in russia.

AND,

Of course we would follow the Eu2, Vic, CK, and HOI1 and now 2 mentality of historical consistency.

I'd be interested in working on an interwar mod, especially on Russian civil war events, leaders and ministers. I did a few Italian events for EEP a few years back, so I'm familiar with event scripting. The timetable should really be 11/11/1918 until 1933; all the critical battles of the RCW happened from 1918 to 1920.

From the official end of ww1?

I guess I could live with that :)

I would love to see a mod like this made, though I'm not sure if I could help.

Event coding really isn't that hard. You can take part at any level, but if want to be really involved it is sort of a prerequisite.

But it isn't that hard. Next time you play a game and say to yourself; "It would be really cool if this could happen" just try to do it. The game will freeze a couple of times (a lot of times) before you get it right, but if you start small and slowly start making things more ambitious, before you know it you'll be fine!

I think I could handle the text editing as I tooled around HOI. I just don't know if I would have the time. In any case, best of luck!

Time is a huge factor. Especially since I will be disappearing from the boards as of Feb. 15th. Another game? Any takers? Wild guess?

I should be back on the following week.

The First World War modification will cover at least six of the post war years that are being referred to, including the Russian Civil War, the rise of warlordism in China, Weimar Germany, Mussolini's assumption of power and so on.

I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for cooperation. :)

This mod idea sounds great. If it were coordinated with the WW1 mod, so much the better. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to work on this right now... maybe sometime after go-live in March... that is... after all the fires are put out, of course!
