Guys I will be away next week.

Provisionally zimfan will be substituting for me, he has an oncall job so it is a bit hit and miss, I will ask some of the monday game players just in case.

Contrary to what i previously expected i will be available the subsequent wednesdays after this.

Hey guys, I don't think I will be able to make it tomorrow (or today to most of you, I think). Not called in to work, but called on on a promise made to the landlord. :(

I may not be absent, can confirm later.... The rain has meant that the staff cricket game may be called off... however we shall see you can never predict the weather in the UK.

Of course, once again we have serious doubts about Seten, any word silktrader?

Yeah, would like to have a confirmation before evening, I have stuff to do if no game.

The good news is that I am now available. I have a proposal perhaps that would allow us to play on with 4 players...

Macedonia and Egypt are rather weaker than the other 3 nations so either myself or Maupertais could move to Rome and take over.

Of course alternatively if another player is found then he/she can take Rome or if a smaller realm is wanted Egypt (and I take Rome).

While during the last two weeks Seten had computer issues, I am positive He now solved that (as we put His computer together). Now though, I haven't received news from Him in days - and He skipped our EU campaign yesternight.

We will, at this time, have to proceed without Him - which is unexpected. I am looking for a new perm at the moment, to take over Rome - should we miss one at game start, we may heed Smowz' proposal, above.

Smowz and Maupertuis, think about who, between You, would rather play in Rome.

We are playing at 20:00, talk to You later folks.

Alright, I've asked two people to join us: I haven't received answers yet.

That means we will proceed with either Maupertuis (should He wish), or Smowz in Rome.

I am not having a doubt about whether Feodian will join us: He won't.

Should anybody, not belonging to this campaign, read this: know that we may need a new perm.

I may need a sub this Wednesday. The current situation is very interesting indeed with the war and so on and I'd love to be there but I probably can't so... I'll make sure to handle some diplomacy before wed anyways, all potential subs let me know if you are available.

Shall we play tomorrow ?

No news from Seten and Smowz will probably play another campaign. He is right about the "Mercurial campaign [being] dead in the water" (see Aleia iacta est thread).

It would be probably best to end the campaign at this stage. A pity, sure, but's it's better than a prolonged and painful slow death.

Yes, quite dead it seems... I have tomorrow the same situation as today, so I probably could be available from 21-22, but everything now depends on how sick I am tomorrow (which lead to me miss out whole Anathema session today). So really uncertain about my availability.

Silk, Letar and Maup: I am sorry about my negative feelings about the campaign, in truth the shuffle that we tried last week utterly failed to reignite my interest in this campaign. In truth it was my first Mercurial session in 4 weeks (absent one week and two successive postponements) and it just lacked something.

With Letar expressing that he is likely to be absent I knew the writing was in the wall once again. So I decided to try and push the other organized campaign toward completion instead.

I am on a timescale here and with my summer holidays fast approaching I wanted to wrap up the campaigns I was in.

Very well folks, we are stopping here. It was nice playing with You - I will say: this is my last Rome MP campaign, as much as I like the game, I prefer playing Europa Universalis - where strategic options abound.

I'd have wished to finish the campaign, so to put to test some ideas, but I acknowledge that, given absences and Seten's latest vanishing, there's little purpose continuing. I may post wrap up bits, during the week, should I feel inspired, summing up thoughts and strategies that were relevant to my campaign, as the Seleucid player.

Once again, thank You for playing. I will see You soon.

And just after asking about the future of the game, I had the good idea to install a beta security software that prevented the PC to boot, even in safe mode. It was truly a day of doom.
Sorry for the campaign to end in such a manner.
Hope to play again with you in a Rome MP in the near future.

Thanks to You Mauper. I won't be crawling these fora, as I do Europa Universalis', but drop me a line should You see a new campaign being shaped up.

I hear patch no. three is soon to be released, though I haven't tested that.

A bientot, salut.
