I know its possible to play these nations with the IGC, but since I cant get the IGC to work, is there some other way. Believe me I have spent hours on this forum looking for every conceivable way to make IGC work on my computer. When I click on patch.exe the screen goes black and stays that way. I just want to play a regular historical game as China or Japan. Any help is much appreciated, thank you.
there is limitations for these countries, very samll land areas seen in the beginning and doesnt get any conquistadors and is SLOW in science.
but if you wish to play them change the grand campains file, i dont remember the .* but it is the samller file.
Remove a country there and add the country you wish to play instead. gen. suvurovs site has more info about how to do this, you can also look at the FAQ.

I just said it's a boring country to play as in this game, u know *Europa* Universalis, which it actually is, unless u add a lot of features urself. Outer European countries were not made to be played as in this game.
They can't build any buildings, they have not much territorial knowledge, have only one country to diplomatically interact with, pagan religion, no colonists, no explorers/conquistadors, loads of diplomatic negative events, exotic tech group and an isolationist nature.
Gameplay wise, compared to Wurttemberg or whatever, that is extremely limited and that makes for a very dull game IMO and many others happen to think so too. That won't mean u will find it boring but to me it is and I have the right to say what I think, right ? Or should I expect to be nuked any moment now ?
Thanks for the advice BIB. I think the other guy was just kidding. I guess I have no choice but to try and figure out why my freaking computer won't allow me to use the IGC. I would be happy if I could just use the IGCconfig program. Anyway thanks again
