Can not create a new game

Can not create a new game

Expected Result​

start up game, click new game on main menu, have fun.

Actual Result​

Start up game, click new game, all maps are greyed out. It offers me DLC for more maps, but I do not have access to default maps or the maps of DLC I already bought. I can play scenarios

Please gather both these two informational files, and attach them here:

...\Steam\steamapps\common\Cities Skylines\Cities Data\output_log.txt

DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.

IF dxdiag.txt fails to attach here, rename it to dxdiag.log , or zip it up.

I don't see any problem in that log - the game loads, runs, and exists without error.


In the main game menu, are all your DLCs listed there as owned, with a green tick? Or as available to buy?

Go into Content Manager-Maps - are they all enabled (small blue square)?

Looks like the content manager was acting weird. It was showing all enabled for maps, but on a whim, I disabled all then reenabled them, and that seems to have fixed it. I now have access to all my normal maps and can start playing the game again. Thank you for your help!
