Can not play game......period

In January the game would CTD. I was using november beta on top of v1.7. Before this crash I was playing with this version with no problems at all. I couldn't figure out what was going on.

So two days ago I uninstalled game and reinstalled it and used all of the patches. After I select my nation and choose to start I CTD again.

Sugestions? This is my favorite game of all time and going a month without playing has increased my stress.

Heres a couple things that might help you.

1. Close all other 3rd party programs not nessasary to play the game
2. Switch to 16 bit color resolution
3. Get latest drivers for your videocard
4. November beta is too old, get the newest one "feb28"

It could also be how you are installing the beta patches though, are you taking the folder and overwriting them? If so, then thats the problem. Make sure you change each file individually ( i know, it takes like 7 minutes to do, be patient)

Try it on another computer if these problems persist (if you have another one that is)

Questions you shoould answer yourself:

1. Does the game crashes with plain 1.07 (no betas?)
2. If so, does the game still crashes with no patches?
3. Do the crashes always happen with one save file? (corruption)

You only need latest official patch + latest beta patch; if you installed multiple betas over one another try it with just the latest.
