Someone explain to me how the drone hub extenders work. I researched the tech, but whenever I build any, it just says "no uplink". How do you set an uplink? What's going on?

click on the extender. In the window that opens in the top right of the screen, click on the button on the left that says "link extender", then click on any drone hub in range or, if that is not the case, another extender that is linked to a drone hub. As far as i know, the chain of extenders can be as long as you want, but I would recommend not making it longer than two or three as the drone travel times will get very long.

Pro tip: Place two triboelectric scrubbers directly next to the extender and set their radii to minimum. They will draw only a little power but you will no longer have to pay repair costs for the extender or the scrubbers. This is not necessary if you have the autonomous hubs breakthrough however, as it removes the extenders' and hubs' power and maintaneance requirements.

Thank you! I thought that icon meant "add drones to"

Am I the only one who thinks minerals for upkeep is way too much? They're the rarest resource, and as it is I think I prefer using more Hubs instead.

Yes, that does seem kinda expensive. I only started using them once I had basically finished the game. However, as I said above, using Triboelectric Scrubbers negates this issue.

Okay, but then I need to research that and invest even more resources in building the Scrubber; I think I'll just stick to Drone Hubs, they're better now also with the technology that increases their range.
