Is it possible to rework the diplomatic range not depending on the capital please? Its strange when i can not trade with India, as Rome even if iam sitting in Persia one province away from their border.

My favorite was as Bactria after moving the capital to the Indus... had conquered most of Anatolia, coastal portions of Egypt, and all of the Levant and Syria, yet Cyprus was outside my diplomatic range. Grrrrr.

I wouldn’t object to adding a a stacking diplomatic range modifier to add range in a radius from an city you own with marketplaces.

Its like this becuase they probably need to adopt the AI. Wars far away from the own border.
Adopt? Did you mean stop?

I think there's way better ways to do this. It's not like the AI doesn't already snake through the weakest tribes and ignores all major empires.

Imagine a country will just attack something in iberia just becuase its in range for Armenia becuase of a strange small town in Thrace. Its not impossible to avoid such problems, but they need to do so. Its not only about just to count the diplorange from every city under your control.

Well the war weights are broken in the current game to start with. But it would be better to have a border style diplorange with the AI having a distaste for wars significantly further from the capital at the same time.

Alexander wasn't struggling to invade india because his capital was still too far west.

I think you're presenting a problem that could be solved by any coder within a few moments with a little forethought.

Does anyone have a clue how to extend your nation's diplo range?
Techs or you get a province next to your target. As Rome it means you need to have a province next to india under your control. When there is a province between und foreign control, you will not have diploarrange. And Rome is central. When you start somewehre in India, there are sooner problems.

I think a small tweak that would help would be increasing the current "adjacent" range to "one province away or one sea province away". The fact that you can't cross a single sea zone depending on your capital location is definitely unreasonable.

Right, thanks for the explanation.
