I would like to see more campaigns. You could do a lot with any of the Succession Wars, House based campaigns, maybe even a Solaris campaign. I think that any of those would be somewhat easy to make other than writing the story and dialogue since most of the mechanics are already there. Maybe add a few mechs or variants not currently in game. I can see plenty of DLCs just by doing that and if they are priced reasonably, I am sure they will sell. With success all things are possible. :)

Focus on Campaigns, equals Quality return on investment!”

Depends how it is implemented for me.
Personally I want all campaigns within the same universe as it were, I am really enjoying the flashpoint based campaign in Heavy Metal and my preference would be to have something similar in each expansion.
The idea of another full stand alone campaign akin to the first one is not actually that appealing to me (I literally never play anything but career mode since it became available, mostly because I hate the scaling and gating and some other ideas implemented within campaign mode).

I´d rather see another campaign than more FPs.

FPs are nice, but they don´t generate the same immersion, emotional attachment, enjoyment even, than a true campaign.

If compared, FPs, even chained, lack depth and/or value...

But as Prussian Havoc commented, i wouldn´t expect a full campaign for the price of a DLC. The thing is i would be glad to pay premium to see HBS making another campaign.

@BARBOSA (Aries), you won’t be alone in your willingness to pay a premium for Andrew and Team HBS to take another crack at a BATTLETECH Campaign. I would be right up there with you near the Head of the Line. : )

But I think we may be at a pause in the decelopment of this particular franchise as HBS sharpens its talent and resources in pursuit of the next game in its pipeline. Ever since HBS was founded it was progressed through a number of games, new and with existing franchises. At each step in its history HBS has learned its lessons, grown and benefited from an ever deepening bench of talented developers, artists, designers and engineers.

I think this current point along HBS timeline is no different. And as it always has, HBS will pivot to what comes next with passion, dedication to detail and an abiding respect for the source material of the game it next pursues.

It is for these reasons that I am a fan of HBS and will pre-order whatever Team HBS has coming down the pipeline next.

We may not be able to “MOUNT UP!” with the next game. It may be “START YOUR ENGINES!” or “STEADY AHEAD!” or “LASTING DEATH TO ALL ZOMBIES!” or some such saying that Mitch will seize on next that exemplifies the spirit of HBS’s next game.

One thing’s for certain, with Mitch, Mike, Kiva, Andrew and all of Team HBS on the hunt, it is bound to be a GREAT ride! : )

I wouldn't think they would need a lot of technical work for adding more campaigns. The hardest part would be the writing, plot, the campaign direction and branching if any. I would see it more like an addendum to the game than a reworking. I would also think, maybe incorrectly, that it could be done in conjunction with a new game.

To the critique that career is better, well that is a different mode than telling a story or more importantly living a story. I am not a big Kurita fan, however I would definitely enjoy playing as a Kuritan regular and working up the ranks and then maybe having the option at the end of the story to go right into career mode. That would be an interesting transition, and say I would have my mech, a couple of pilots loyal to me and their mechs and whatever I could save as personal funds as my starting kitty.

I get that there would have to be a suspension of belief that I also got the Argo, or some other dropship, but hey in the end it is a game and you have to have some suspension of belief anyway. Or at least I hope you don't believe this is real for your sake. (no pun intended, i do love sushi and sake, it is my favorite food, which is kind of weird but I was playing TT before I was turned on to sushi and developed an affinity for Daveon and Jade Falcon before fatty tuna expanded my taste buds)

Something the size of the Aurigan Civil War, with new art, new voice acting, new cutscenes, more characters, more interaction with Yang, Farah, Darius and Sumire? More plot? Oh YES, more of that dope please!

And while at it, it´d be cool to get further interactions with your mechwarriors, at least getting new lines and comments Glitch Style for more people. ;)
