Can you combine armies?

There are times when I end up having umpteen armies running around. There are also times when in the heat of a war it would be nice to transfer troops to a better leader. In both of these instances it would be great to combine troops or ships into a single force. Can it be done?

Drag a box around the forces then Use the "Combine" option or the keyboard "g".

Sure, SHIFT-click the units (or drag a square around them) and click the 'Merge Units' in the panel.

One with highest ranking does.

If you have more than one leader, you cannot use the 'Reorganize' function to separate him. You have to first use 'Split', and then 'Reorganize' to your hearts content!
