That's right. As long as you have at least 20 development of another religion you can harmonize with them and gain the benefit from it. You can find out what benefits you get from them from the EU4 wiki. You're not limited to one or two Harmonizations or something like that?

Its one of my favorite religions due to the free holy war CB when you have humanist ideas completed + a nice policy with offensive ideas for almost no rebels . Was able to get - 25 years of separatism and +14.5 national unrest due to ideas, policies, high stability and the reforms in my Qing game. + 80% CCR as emperor of China with the reform passed adm/court ideas and edict active. Can take way more over-extension and core super fast and even with the negative events giving separatism in some provinces the rebels will never rise up before you even finish coring.

Humanist is great. Confucian is great and go along with Hunanist, we no longer need to convert any thing with Confucian.
Also annex weaken China is not hard and if you can get Confucian or become Sino culture group then it is great.
I also often have a house rule not to annex China, because it is the quickest to win.
I play many Dai Viet games. They start not strong but on the coast so can use Exploring Idea to be neighbour with weak countries.Playing as Ming and I survived all those rebellions, which Confucian nation is your favourite to play and why is Humanist so good for them?
