Um, hello.

I bought Crusader Kings 2 off of Amazon last night, and I'm attempted to download it twice. Both times the program has cancelled itself after reaching 65% of the extraction phase, saying that it couldn't open an afp file. I have no idea what that means and attempts to Google it have been unsuccessful, so I figured I'd register now and try and get it sorted out instead of after playing a few games.

Thank you very much in advance.

It sounds like your download is incomplete or corrupt. I'm sorry, but we have nothing to do with Amazon's download or installation process, you'll need to contact their support.

*sigh* Thanks for letting me know. Just checked and apparently they don't replace downloadable software. Should have known the price tag was too good to be true. :p

Going to see if they'll give it to me another way or just get a refund.

Don't give up! They have a responsibility to supply a complete download, keep them to it!

Any ideas as to how?

Anyway, looking at both the page of the game and my download window, it seems that the game is 700 MB while my download is 697 MB. I'm trying again with their Amazon downloader, but if it doesn't work, meh. I'll try and ask their Help section to step in, but my history with online services of any sort has generally been disappointing.

Thanks for being so helpful, Andrew. :)

Give them the benefit of the doubt. You never know until you try and it is better than buying it twice. ;)
It's Crusader Kings 2. I'm perfectly fine with the idea of buying it twice. Had it been most other games, I'd have gotten a tad upset. :p

Edit: Got in talks with Customer Service, they're passing it on to a Software download specialist. Answer coming back in 24 - 48 hours. :p
